Job description
POSITION SUMMARY

To support the growth of HDMC in the Asia Pacific region and to lead the HDFS team towards achievement of HDFS regional sales and profit objectives through:

Effective management of AP HDFS resources that build and manage relationships with dealers and maximize support levels through F&I products and services
The effective sourcing and management of F&I service provider relationships and activities
Development and launch of new products in key markets

Alignment with HDMC regional/market priorities
Effective development and management of the HDFS relationship with HDMC teams throughout the region


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Works directly with the VP of Marketing & International and Asia Pacific Leadership to develop and achieve HDFS Strategic Initiatives within the region
Participates as part of the Asia Pacific regional leadership team
Responsible for the achievement of sales, market share and profit objectives for AP
Oversees and/or conducts provider selection process as HDFS enters new countries to ensure suitable F&I providers are selected to meet the unique needs of each market
Identifies finance and insurance needs by market and leads the development of new products that meet the needs of the marketplace
Responsible for the relationships with F&I Service Providers across all HDFS product offerings, in each country ensuring:
Clear goals and business plans in place for agreed channels for each product
Monitoring and review of performance for all contracted F&I Service Providers
Proactively manage, motivate and develop the sales resources
Regular and effective service provider meetings, ensuring action points are recorded and followed up on
Regular product, pricing and service level benchmarking among the competition in the region
Interviews, selects and hires country-specific resources
Mentors, motivates, and coaches staff to improve their business development and management skills
Leads country specific resources to coordinate and/or deliver finance and insurance support for our dealer network to drive increased F&I revenue and profitability for H-D dealers
Develops and delivers regional marketing plans in association with F&I Service Providers and HDMC including direct marketing and CRM activity
Maintains and ensures a current awareness and understanding of appropriate banking laws, regulations, internal policies and procedures, and complies fully with those laws, regulations, policies and procedures
Attends Harley-Davidson, general motorcycle and dealer meetings and events as needed throughout the year

Desired Skills and Experience
Experience/Knowledge/Other Skills

Preferred 10 years sales management experience in automotive or financial services industry
F&I literate including running and implementing business management programs
Preferred three years personnel management experience
Skilled in dialogue selling and positive influence techniques with ability to achieve results through the buy-in of other people, while adopting an open, persuasive and non-threatening manner
Experience in developing and project managing the delivery of new F&I products
Excellent internal and external customer service skills
Ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel within a company
Strong teamwork skills
Self-motivated and confident, with a strong determination to succeed.
Strong proven problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Fluency in spoken and written English
Negotiation skills and negotiation experience at the senior management level
Skilled presenter experienced in front of larger audiences
Understanding of how to develop and conduct an effective training program for both group and one-on-one trainings sessions
Frequent overnight domestic and foreign travel across Asia Pacific region
