Job Description
Eaton Corporation, Electrical Sector is seeking a Marketing Director for the Distributed Power Quality (DPQ) business in APAC. The location for the position is Singapore.

The Marketing Director provides overall strategic direction for the DPQ (Distributed Power Quality) BU marketing function across APAC including business development, commercial marketing, product management, pricing, and marketing communications.

The Main Responsibilities Include

Lead DPQ BU strategic planning process; develop overall marketing strategy and ensure the process is well communicated and incorporates inputs from key stakeholders.
Lead BU’s business development, acquisition, and strategic alliance process; develop acquisition strategies and serve on due diligence and acquisition / integration teams as required.
Establish strategic alliance partnership with key IT equipment and software providers to promote and attach DPQ products by leveraging channels and customers.
Formulate and oversee BU product sales trend, margin, and pricing to ensure maximum value attainment and profitable revenue growth.
Work directly with Product Managers to drive the product development function to ensure that new and/or enhanced product initiatives are in line with the strategic plan and marketing intelligence. Ensure active engagement with the PROLaunch process and annual product road mapping sessions.
Work with Product Managers to obtain market intelligence, conduct competitive analysis, collect Voice-of Customer, and develop country specific Go-To-Market strategy to enable our sales teams and channel partners to achieve success in securing orders and creating demands in DPQD products and solution offerings.
Lead market communication function and drive continuous improvement in the appropriate product training, marketing collateral, promotional programs, and brand protection activities.
Manage and oversee BU marketing budgets.
Build and develop talent within the marketing organizations through coaching, training, and succession planning.
Work in close collaboration with customers, distributors, and internal sales teams across APAC to ensure customer feedback is part of the core business strategy.
Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements)•Basic Qualifications
Bachelor degree in Business, Engineering, or Marketing
15+ years overall marketing or sales management experience in IT and/or power electronics equipment manufacturers
P&L and prior people management experience

Excellent English communication skills
Ability to think and act strategically – develop and execute an effective strategy
Strong knowledge of power electronics product and applications, as well as marketing trend, practices and procedures
Ability to develop and maintain customer relationships at all levels
Understanding of marketing and business planning
Knowledge of market channel relationships and processes
Must also be experienced with customer meetings and presentations as well as delivering presentations to large groups.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrable executive presence – able to represent Eaton to senior managers externally and internally
Ability to work in a matrix organization, in virtual teams (across different locations), and cross-cultural environments
Experienced manager of people, with track record of managing large teams and developing talent and strong talent pipeline
Strong values and ethical background needed to have credibility operating in the region
Intercultural awareness to be able to operate in a cross border environment – within and outside region
