Senior Manager - Marketing Communications - Red Hat - Singapore
Job description
The Red Hat Marketing team is looking for a Senior Manager, Marketing Communications to join us in Singapore. In this role, you will work with both the Corporate Marketing and Brand teams. You'll be responsible for marketing initiatives for the APAC region, including guiding and facilitating corporate communications and design, creative services, awareness generation, and PR activities. You'll also determine strategy for, create, and carry out plans for industry and internal events like sales kickoffs, webinars, virtual launches, and corporate sponsorships, as well as Red Hat branded events like Red Hat Forum.
Primary job responsibilities
Guide and oversee content development and writing
Clearly articulate and amplify Red Hat's story and strengths through a variety of channels and voices
Contribute to geographical, technological, partner, and customer market information that enhances Red Hat’s fact-based decision-making process
Manage relationships with key analysts to extract maximum value and regional relevance for the APAC region, and ensure timely delivery to stakeholders
Develop and carry out corporate campaigns, and create scalable campaign frameworks and toolkits
Establish and enforce the overall strategy, positioning, architecture, standards, and creative vision for the Red Hat brand
Create and improve content, maintain standards, and offer expert guidance for communicating ideas in any medium
Partner with global Red Hat content teams to ensure a unified brand voice and strategic, compelling messages
Lead the communications and design process for helping our internal clients generate creative solutions to support Red Hat’s brand platform.
Required skills
Bachelor's degree is highly preferred
Understanding of and passion for all things tech and open source
10+ years of relevant work experience in public relations or marketing agencies, or experience managing a marketing communications team, preferably in technology
Passion for storytelling through various media types, with a keen visual sense
Demonstrated relationships with other marketing and sales functions
Experience coaching internal executives and staff to interact with levels of influencers
Experience working with both traditional and social influencers
Excellent communication skills; verbal, written, and presentation
Experience working in globally distributed teams and communicating across national boundaries
Ability to work within tight deadlines, adjust to changing priorities, and balance short-term needs with long-term strategic initiatives
Knowledge of online media, web technology, integrated campaigns, community, and creative and brand strategy concepts
Experience working with both senior marketing managers and junior level co-workers
Good process and quality orientation, with a high attention to detail
