Director - Business Program Management - AIG - Singapore


Job description
The Director Business Program Management provides value to the organization by leading a team of Program Managers and/or Business Analysts. This person must be able to effectively liaise between the Home Office executives, Operations and Systems teams, regional business leaders, system users and their peers to ensure that the organization can quantify and capitalize on opportunities that require joint efforts between the business, operations and systems teams.


Job Duties Will Include

Personnel Management
• Governance of all organizational and department policies and procedures
• Program Management goal setting
• Employee assessments
• Staff development
Capacity Planning
• Resource planning
• Resource scheduling
• Schedule enforcement
Process/Procedure Management
• Develop departmental standards and processes
• Maintain standards and processes
• Enforce standards and processes
Escalation Handling
• Provide departmental support to internal and external customers
• Conduct root cause analysis for discovered issues
• Resolve issues
Productivity Reporting
• Regular production reporting
• Time tracking enforcement

Global Request Review and Reporting (Dashboards)
• Regularly review dashboards to ensure appropriate governance is provided
• Report on global dashboards to Senior Management Team
Global Prioritization and Strategic Planning
• Review strategic goals of regional business leadership and insure that prioritization supports that strategy.
• Negotiate priorities and insure there are shared expectations for delivery.

Escalation Management


Required

• Resolve and report regularly on issues raised to Senior Management Skills/Experience Required:
8+ years experience as a Senior Business Analyst or Program Manager in a multi-national company
Systems Thinker: Ability to look across, people, processes and systems in making day to day decisions
Consultative Approach: Ability to apply a consultative approach in all interactions.
Business Knowledge Acquisition: Ability to learn and apply knowledge across several business models.
Cascading business strategy into IT: Ability to cascade business strategy and identify appropriate IT support.
