Job Description:
This role is an exciting opportunity to work with the newly created Operational Excellence team and the senior leadership of the bank. The programme has been created to drive and accelerate Operational Excellence and Execution across the Bank using a simple, fact based, standardised, bank wide approach. This program is pivotal to achieve the bank's targets on returns/ profitability and improved client experience and therefore comes with Senior Management commitment. The programme will use multiple holistic levers including process improvement, structural changes, targets and tracking, training & accountability, policy streamlining and digitization.

The chosen candidate will have exposure to COOs, Business Heads and Management Teams and develop an understanding of multiple business lines and functions. It includes a blend of strategic thinking and execution and provides a platform for future roles within the COO community or Business/Function lines.

The role comes with a clear mandate as an Operational Excellence Team Lead with responsibilities for a set of business or function lines. The Team Lead will drive a team of direct reports plus co opted resources, operating across varied engagement models depending on the resourcing situation.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Operational Excellence
Deploy the standard OE framework and establish a portfolio of initiatives.
Deliver the overall OE agenda in line with target outcomes
Establish and maintain a highly engaged working relationship with shared accountability with the respective business or function lines

Projects and Investments
Drive the portfolio of initiatives across the diagnostic, solution, implementation and monitoring phases
Achieve quick wins whilst moving towards target operating model.
Perform tracking & monitoring with prompt course correction as required

People and Talent
Build and lead the respective OE team for success
Develop and coach direct report(s)
Provide change management expertise across the set of holistic levers. Guide and train as required
Champion and act as a role model of the Group's values and culture
Implement a culture of continuous improvement in team and across business and functions.

Qualifications And Skills

Experience in change/ transformation roles or consulting background.
Highly engaged leader. Excellence in stakeholder management.
Change agent and critical thinker
Comfortable dealing with senior management
Ability to be hands on as well as be able to operate at a higher, strategic level
Experience across a set of business lines or functions
