Job Description:
Shapes the global Consumer MAKE strategy and global standardization & simplification priorities representing the region in collaboration with Global MAKE Excellence.
Leads the deployment of the global MAKE strategy within the region (8 – 10 internal sites + external sites)
DRI for the performance management process for the regional MAKE organization, for excellence in execution through deployment and governance of global programs to elevate the manufacturing capabilities (people, systems, processes, infrastructure), for standardization in the region (across all sites & teams) and for sustainable improvement across all areas of performance (Competitiveness; Compliance; Capabilities; Customer focus).
Leads the MAKE Excellence & PMO teams in the region, while collaborating closely with all internal site MAKE Excellence Leaders, using an aligned approach to program, project and performance management.
Member of the Regional MAKE Leadership Team.
Responsibilities
Strategy
Co-shapes the global MAKE strategy and standardization priorities
Leads MAKE organizational transformation in the region
Leads the regional deployment of the Consumer MAKE strategic roadmap and translates actions into OGSM
Coordinates strategic & business planning process in the region, in alignment with PMO framework and tools (e.g. INSTANTIS)
Supports regional network configuration studies
Ensures alignment of regional Site Master Planning with regional & global strategy
Drives execution of global strategies at regional level, through effective governance and management of improvement portfolio, key programs and projects, and performance management / scorecarding
Ensures alignment of the prioritization and resource allocation with the overall strategic Consumer Supply Chain agenda.
Enables decision making by bringing benchmark market and competitiveness data
Capabilities & Programs
Leads the capability building in the region via deployment of the transformational programs and rapid adoption of best-in-class practices
Ensures flawless roll out and execution at regional & site level of core programs and initiatives, in order to elevate MAKE capabilities of the region (systems, process, people, organizational). Key programs and initiatives are indicatively: Make2Win, JJOS, ME2, Pinnacle, Zero Defects/QE2, CIP Innovation Lab, Operator / Technician Academy, etc . Supports and coaches project teams with decision resolution, escalate where needed.
Drives the CIP pipeline for the region
Organizes the regional capabilities review process
Leads the regional PMO capabilities in Consumer MAKE (roll out of common platforms, standard trainings, etc)
Portfolio Management/ PMO
Leads the deployment and maintenance of a standard performance management strategy and framework to define, analyze and report key performance metrics at site and regional level
Uses analytics to deliver deeper insights into performance, driving efficiency and real time decision making
Establishes and improves a PPM prioritization system & process to allow optimum allocation of resources (CAPEX, people, etc.)
Develops, drives, and actively participates with other functions & segment PMO leaders towards E2E harmonization of processes
Partners closely with finance to track budget vs. actual performance for the regional organization throughout the year including the coordination for the major financial updates
Provides leadership to the PMO function. Develops talent and leverages skills and resources across segments and regions.
Provides leadership and sponsorship of a high performance and continuous process improvement culture, driven by metrics, benchmarking and best practices
Other Responsibilities (indicative)
Governance & support for regional MAKE LT meetings and reviews (design of reviews and meeting rhythm, agenda setting, prioritization of topics, follow up on actions)
Preparation of senior leadership presentations
Sponsorship and execution of key regional Consumer MAKE events linked to MAKE and SC roadmap and strategy
Key partnerships / Collaborations
Regional Consumer MAKE LT, including all Consumer site leaders in the region
Global Consumer MAKE Excellence organization
Other Regional MAKE Excellence leaders (EMEA, APAC)
Segment and Enterprise Strategy & Deployment Leaders & functions
Consumer MAKE Finance
Senior Consumer SC Leaders
Scope of Responsibilities
Drives consistent deployment of regional and global strategy, through influencing of site leaders in the region
Responsible for coordinating all Regional MAKE project and program portfolio activities
Drives CIP generation in the region ($ 15 – 20 MM on a yearly basis) through execution of game changers, programs and cost actions, and provide governance.
Leads a team of regional Program leaders and change agents
Qualifications
Experience and key competencies
Multiyear experience in MAKE is required
10 + years of experience overall SC, Operations, Project Mgt
Solid financial and analytical skills
Ability to effectively partner, influence and deliver results in a matrixed environment and multicultural region
Ability to lead the analysis of complex business processes using various tools such as process mapping, financial modeling, metrics, measures and statistical tools
Ability to lead a team of professionals with diverse skills and competencies spanning business and technical – located remotely
Ability to lead and influence others in a complex matrix organization
Ability to analyze complex issues using critical thinking, problem solving, sound judgment skills
Education
• BS/BA – Business / Engineering / SC required
• MBA or other relevant post graduate degree preferred
Location & Mobility
• Position needs to be based in one of the key MAKE locations or in one of the central offices of the region
• Position requires 25% - 50% travel (within region & global)
