Leader for the development (ESW) team in Singapore (‘Home Zone Manager’), including the regional Cloud Operations team also based there.
Coordination of product development and (cloud) operation activities of Bosch Software Innovations in Asia Pacific and specifically Singapore, including the VORTO open source initiative, developments for big data processing, Bosch IoT Cloud (BIC) marketplace and others
Management responsibilities, including representing Software Innovations Engineering towards external parties (especially governmental agencies like the EDB in Singapore, partners, clients), representing engineering software in the Software Innovation Asia Pacific management team, escalation management
Budgeting (planning, approval) and cost controlling
Hiring management jointly with the responsible functional primes (CPO’s, Scrum Masters) based also in Germany and elsewhere
Administrative duties, including approval and leave management, alignment of performance evaluations, salary adjustments, conflict management, compliance management, office space management, organizational development and career development, audit management (ISO, internal, external), interface towards local Bosch organization
Manage and develop the regional Operations team, including. performance management (services and projects delivered on time, quality, costs and service level agreement), administrative management (see above) and organizational development
Profile
Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience, at least 3–5 years in a similar leadership role
Substantial working experience in the area of software development and preferably IoT or related fields
Solid technical expertise of software and systems architectures, software design patterns and cloud technologies; good knowledge of the Java platform along with relevant programming frameworks; familiarity with IoT related protocols and communication patterns would be highly advantageous
Strong entrepreneurial spirit and high level of creativity is essential
Experienced in C-level interactions, strong planning, execution and convincing skills
Self-motivated go getter, requiring minimum supervision
Pro-active and able to work effectively within a multi-functional and cross-cultural team across organizational and functional boundaries
Availability to travel in the APAC region and Europe as and when required
