The Director of Recreation – Children’s Facility is responsible for the opening, revenue, supervision and management of the operations of the Kids’ Club of Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore. He/she has to ensure that the Kids’ Club is a fun, safe and kids-friendly environment and has to plan its opening, design and organise all activities and programs, including celebrations, set and commit to the budget of the Kids’ Club, coordinate all marketing, publicity and communication activities. In addition, he/she is responsible for the health and safety of guests, colleagues and for motivating the team to ensure the highest possible standards of service are achieved.
Understanding objectives, business goals, concept and design principles
Building up relationship with potential clients
Working with agency on branding to drive marketing message and collateral
Recruiting talents to build his/her team
Establishing relationship with different vendors and source for new vendors
Job Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience in managing a kids play centre
Innovative, detailed oriented and organised
Passionate and enthusiastic in working with children
Knowledgeable in health and safety of children including the ability to handle emergency
Entrepreneur mindset with emphasis on sales and marketing
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Able to lead a team
Good understanding of local market and customer demand
Ability to provide structured training to operational staff
Any other duties or responsibilities assigned to him/her by his reporting line - Hotel Manager
