This role combines both the Controllership and Financial, Planning and Analysis aspects of finance operations. It is a senior position in the APAC function, and provides leadership and managerial responsibilities across Asia Pacific region for Process Automation. On the Controllership aspects, establishes and ensures the business compliance to accounting, tax, key internal controls and audit policies at the group level as well as local statutory levels. On the FP&A aspects, leads best practices in financial forecasting and reporting frameworks aligned with group requirements. Other duties as assigned including and involvement such as leading key implementation projects, market analysis and investment deals.
POSITION JOB DESCRIPTION EXTRACT:
Develops, interprets and implements financial cadence for financial planning and control. Performs technical analysis to determine present and future financial performance. Gathers, analyzes, prepares and summarizes recommendations and business insights, and drives sustainable rigor around operating forecasts. Performs financial analysis in the areas of target setting, reporting standards compliance and ensure meeting the closing and forecasting deadlines.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

FP&A
• Works directly with the APAC Finance VP to develop financial strategy for operating company budget and rolling forecasts financial KPI’s for the current fiscal year and new fiscal year.
• Working with regional leadership team to develop the Operational budgets / Targets for the countries. Provide financial modelling to simulate and identify areas of improvement and accuracy.
• Manage the monthly, quarterly and yearly Op Review reporting processes and ensure timely closure of the books and reporting deadlines.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial analysis, variances and forecasting activities for Orders, P&L and cash flow.
• Key point of contact for forecasting and analysis questions and processes for Functional Management and for APAC HQ and Corporate Finance. Support the “Prior” process and adjustments.
• Identify and develop new financial templates to aid in the performance management and reporting.
• Support any other ad hoc reporting from RLT and PA HQ.
• Builds and maintains strong relationships with members of the finance team and the business partners at the regional and local level.
• Develop financial model for business investment, projects, deals and initiatives so as to help the management in decision making.

Controllership
• Responsible for all financial closing and reporting activities.
• Proactive involvement with the development of financial policies, DoA, SRM and monitoring compliance to enhance internal controls, create efficiencies, and safeguard company assets.
• Drives and establishes best in class balance sheet review cadences and financial risk management frameworks.
• Supports Project Controllership to validate and certify risks and exposures. Provides management guidance on financial risk and mitigation actions.
• Ensure compliance to the company reporting standard and policies. A subject matter expert in accounting standards, both at management reporting and statutory levels.
• Engages with key group functional teams in the areas of key internal controls, tax, audit and treasury activities and initiatives, programs and implementation initiatives.
• Responsible for APAC HQ set of financial activities.
Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: (must be job-related)
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
Inquisitive and key to resolve data inconsistencies.
Must be solid on ERP and Financial systems with expert level in SAP, HFM, BW.
Must have good knowledge of Microsoft Office products especially on Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint.
Strong process mindset and orientation – 6 Sigma certification desired.
Strong and effective communicator, team player.
Experience:
Requires a minimum of 10 years of finance/business experience.
Demonstrated and proven leadership and managerial maturity.
Possess strong business acumen.
Education/Training/Certification:
Accounting or Business Degree, CPA/CA (or equivalent) preferred.
MBA will be an advantage.
Experienced in project accounting and solutions type businesses.

KEY RELATIONSHIPS:
The role is a key position in the regional finance leadership team and works closely with regional offices, businesses and global PA. Proactively engages very closely across functions, businesses and countries. Must be able to communicate professionally both verbally and in writing.
