Director Authentication Products Solutions Visa Singapore

As a Product Director, he/she is responsible for Authentication Solutions and Identify & Verification (ID&V) initiatives in Asia-Pacific (AP), the holder of this role will be responsible for developing and deploying Visa’s Authentication strategy to enable card issuers and acquirers to reduce ‘friction’ in consumer payments, while ensuring fraud rates continue to decrease over time and driving Visa revenue growth. The person will:
- Lead the development, execution and performance evaluation of Visa’s Authentication Product strategy in Asia-Pacifi
- Spearhead product management of, ‘Verified by Visa’ (VbV), in Asia-Pacific, representing the AP region in the product development and management process globally, including the development of VbV 2.0 in line with EMVCo timelines and requirements
- Oversee the strategy development for and roll out of Visa’s risk-based-authentication solution, Visa Consumer Authentication Service (VCAS), focusing on commercializing the solution across AP in partnership with Risk, Client Support and in-market teams
- Develop the strategy and commercialization model as well as be responsible for the roll out of other authentication and risk management tools, including Visa’s Mobile Location Confirmation (MLC) and Consumer Payment Controls service
- Lead cross-functional stakeholders in aligning Visa’s authentication solutions and other Visa security tools (e.g. tokenization) in AP to the company’s global authentication strategy and direction
- Drive eCommerce and mCommerce revenue growth both from increasing overall transaction volume as a result of ensuring better Risk and Authentication policies on the part of Visa issuers, but also from product-based fee revenue where appropriate
- Ensure Authentication products and solutions are fully integrated into Visa’s Developer Program, making relevant APIs available to the developer community and readying adequate support for authentication and ID&V solutions across Visa
- Work collaboratively with colleagues in Risk, Acceptance, Processing, Client Support and in-market teams to ensure Visa products work better and more consistently for consumers and merchants and generate incremental revenue for Visa through reducing the transaction ‘friction’ which negatively impacts ePV – e.g. poor issuer authorization policies, bad merchant risk practices etc.
- Evangelize for Visa authentication solutions, conducting workshops and training on VbV, VCAS and other tools with clients, merchants, regulators, and Visa’s various functional units across AP
- Effectively engage marketing and Corporate Relations colleagues to support the launch of new products, features and functionality

Responsibilities
- Development, communication, execution and management of Visa’s authentication strategy in Asia-Pacific, working in close partnership with US colleagues and other global stakeholders
- Integration of full range of authentication solutions with Visa’s suite of Risk Management tools and security solutions - from tokenization and Host Card Emulation (HCE), through to transaction monitoring and fraud reporting platforms, including the evaluation of Visa’s approach to 3DS mandates and in-market policies
- Development of Visa’s approach to authentication and risk management innovation in AP – e.g. biometric authentication
- Ensure the full integration of Visa authentication solutions with Visa’s API roadmap and Developer Program
- Develop the necessary tools, support model and staffing to make sure Auth. solution APIs are adequately supported
- Leadership in integrating authentication solutions into Product and Market strategies through effective influencing
- Increased cross-border eComm, face-to-face and mobile volume coupled with decreasing eCommerce transaction abandonment
- Continuing trend towards lower fraud rates across transaction channels
- Represent Visa Asia-Pacific in regulatory engagement, with industry bodies and with other, external organizations and at events
- Evangelize for and drive momentum behind Visa Authentication solutions and Risk Management tools within Visa and amongst clients
- Develop Regional partnerships to help accelerate the delivery of Authentication strategy, including with vendors, agents and other key third party organizations
- Improve VbV performance and operations

Qualifications

Professional
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Broad understanding of project management methodology

- Past experience in managing teams/staff
- Well organized and good track record on execution

Technical
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in a related field of study (Business Management/Computer Science/IT)
- Minimum 10 years’ of experience in a related field
- Knowledge of 3-D Secure is advantageous
- Good understanding of card authorization, clearing & settlement, authentication systems and platforms
- Familiarity with Internet/Web technologies

- Understand payments business and its applied technologies
- Good influencing skills and ability to lead in a matrix organization
- Highly adept commercial business acumen
- Ability to understand Visa and client P&Ls an advantage
- Excellent presentation skills
