Right Media created and operates the Right Media Exchange, the open exchange for interactive advertising, acquired by Yahoo in 2007. All buyers and sellers in the exchange are interconnected on a common platform, have equal access to media and trade seamlessly.

Responsibilities:
We are seeking a business development manager with proven experience of advertising technology/platform and solutions selling.
Focusing on key APAC markets, the candidate will be required to identify and profile potential partners, building up a pipeline of prospects that would bring additional value to the Right Media exchange. This includes, but is not limited to, media agencies, publishers, networks and data providers.
The BD Manager will be responsible for all elements of the sale from initial call through to contract negotiation and signature, including in depth, technical product demonstrations. The BD manager will be required to liaise with the account management team to ensure a smooth transition of new clients from contract signature, through deployment to successful transaction.
They will also need to act as an ambassador for the Right Media Exchange, attending industry events and representing at key trade bodies, as well as liaising with key Yahoo counterparts to meet combined objectives of the exchange and direct response network.
Requirements:
Right Media business development managers are not assessed on sheer bulk of new clients signed, but rather on the strategic value that each new client brings to the Exchange. To this end the successful candidate needs to understand the product, business and strategy to ensure time and focus are on the highest potential customers.
The new business cycle can take over three months, so patience, tenacity and resourcefulness are essential.
- BA/BS degree
-Masters Degree preferred
- Proven experience in an advertising platform, technology or solution sales position
Competencies:
Exposure to the display advertising market
Network of contacts across media owners and agencies
Excellent influencing and negotiation skills
Ability to develop a pipeline of prospects from standing start
Outstanding verbal and written communication
Ability to build strong relationships at senior management level
Long term and strategic perspective and vision
Must be prepared to travel across the region, sometimes at short notice
