Lead the profitable growth of the Air & Water Care categories across Asia Pacific via a mix of consumer relevant design-led product innovation, OEM/ ODM sourcing and identification of additional new business opportunities.

As a key member of the Product organisation, the position's mission is to:

Define the future growth strategies for the category & the key enablers.
Ensure the speedy & timely creation & delivery of consumer relevant and design-led product innovation
Increase speed-to-market and operational effectiveness in close cooperation with Brand Marketing, Design, the PL Head and the Head of other PLs.
Effectively manage the range of Air & Water Care products ( Air Conditioners , Air Purifiers, Fans, Water Heaters, Water Purifiers) across Asia Pacific.
Note: The role will involve travel & needs may vary by project

Key Operational Responsibilities:

The incumbent needs to be self starter that works independently and has enough drive and leadership to be able to drive projects to a successful implementation wit limited supervision.

Develop a category strategic Marketing Plan, including product ranging by business model, category lifecycle and resource requirement ( people & capex)
Develop, negotiate & execute a rolling 5 year Generation Plan with clear consumer-insight based USP and business cases
Ensure speed to market in the delivery of the Generation Plans in order to meet commercial launch windows by market ( Asia & Pacific)
Align Generation Plans across the P&B team to leverage common themes and launch timing where ever applicable & ensure the output is consistent with brand design & strategies
Secure the implementation of critical processes and governance tools ( PMF Gate/ IPDP/ IPP budgeting & reporting)
Drive , motivate and coach the cross-functional team ( Product Management, Design, R&D, Quality and Purchasing) to deliver their KPIs in a cost effective & speedy way
Set Cost-out targets and ensure their achievement
Initiate and support investment requests and follow-up

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The role requires a mature manager who can apply a range of skills in relating to different audiences at different times and acorss different levels/ geographies of the organisation.

At least 10 years of international experience in management roles in commercial function ( Marketing/ Sales and Product Management
Direct work experience in Asia is preferable
Experience in White Goods or Durable Gods industry are preferred
Proved leadership capabilities in delivering superior business results
Sound balance of strategic/ conceptual thinking and operational focus
True passion for products and consumer driven innovation
Good brand strategy and brand building understanding
Strong, trustworthy team leader & team player- able to manage & influence positively diverse cross functional teams across Asia Pacific
Results driven, hands-on self starter
Commercially savvy & financially knowledgeable manager, with a keen business interest to drive profitable sales growth
Capable to embrace and drive change ( proven change management skills)
Comfortable in a matrix organisation, able to influence across different functions and across different levels within the organisation
Strong cooperation and team playing approach across all parts of our business
