This position is for a Director Sales, Sell- In stationed in APJ region. The ideal candidate will have a balanced mix of technical knowledge as well as leadership/management experience in Channel Sales and should be a prudent contributor. This person will lead and direct APJ (Asia, pacific and Japan) Sales teams and will be Innovative channel thought leader for all sales activities
Key Responsibilities:
Develop a business plan to drive sales through channel partners.
Be responsible for achieving sales targets through partners, on a quarterly basis
Must be able to devise strategic business plans , organize channel sales campaigns, marketing campaigns and sales initiatives, all focused based on corporate business goals
Must have positive attitude and serve as the Channel Thought Leader for APJ region and spear head the sales
Manage contract negotiations process - Ability to influence (internal, external, people/projects)
Prioritize different Routes-to-Market and key partners within them.
Strong relationship-building & influencing skills – ability to gain trust and ‘buy in’ of channel partners quickly
Ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record in Channel sales and a solid understanding APJ sales Modus operandi
Must have leadership skills and be able to motivate medium to large teams
Must have experience working with technology channel partners, distributors as well as end users in the APJ Region.
Ability to travel per business needs
Qualifications:
12+ years relevant experience in channel sales
MBA preferred
Should be a positive and out of the box thinker
Clear and effective verbal and written communication should be a teacher and a trainer
Preferred expertise in multiple Languages
Proven track record of revenue growth in the region
