Manage our Ops Business Inkjet Engineering team:
Collaborate and lead with R&D, CDPS, other members of the Operations staff and external partners to assure all aspects of the product release are managed successfully. This includes quality, cost, reliability, and factory workmanship
Partner with R&D to align on next generation printers to assure manufacturing needs and costs are met. Drive breakthroughs in cost, quality, and time to market
Manage our Ops Quality team:
Deliver best in class performance with Manufacturing Partners, R&D, and Product Engineering teams
Manage and resolve all product quality escalations to meet quality standards and regional availability requirements
Work closely with Product Engineering teams, GBU R&D, and Customer Assurance to drive continuous product improvements based on learnings from field failure analysis
Team size of >50 managers, engineers, and program managers… grow them through development, training, and promotion from within. Ensure team structure aligns and deliver to HBS and Quality goals and objectives.
Significant travel is required at times; can exceed 60%. Teleconferences at all hours; superlative work ethic a must.
Skillsets required:
Demonstrated success bringing new printer platforms to market in months (not years)
Proven ability to deliver continuous hardware product improvements and flawless NPIs
Years of excellence in delivering VIA results at top HP levels while exceeding all people, TCOW, and retention objectives
Extensive experience collaborating and negotiating through 5 alarm crisis – both internal and external… shining under enormous time pressure (e.g. product escalations from retail partners)
Track record of driving massive cost, quality, and availability improvements… exceeding all associated measures of excellence
Deep experience in leading internal and external process improvements for manufacturing and operations
Superlative negotiation and leadership skills… shining example of how to drive performance by manufacturing partners and suppliers to world class capabilities
Quality process background with capabilities in lean six sigma process improvements… delivering quality standards, methods, and goals with both internal and external partners
Thought leader not just in Printer Manufacturing and R&D, but also across the broader Ops organization
Superlative executive level (C suite) communication and Powerpoint capabilities
