We are recruiting candidates for a Director of Business Development based in Asia-Pacific. The individual for this unique opportunity will be responsible for promoting and selling VirtualScopics Imaging Solutions to Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, and Medical Device companies. This includes developing and implementing the territory sales plan, generating leads, managing and reporting opportunities through the VS sales tracking process, closing business, and meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Responsibilities
Development and implementation of the territory sales plan; creating a strategy to expand business in key accounts.
Lead generation and follow-up from trade shows, customer meetings, mailers, and cold calling, etc.
Utilization of the VirtualScopics sales tracking process.
Writing proposals (including internal and external meetings, circulation, and edits), working with the sponsor's contracts and outsourcing group, and closing business.
Coordination of Pre-Sale resources required during each phase of the selling process including clinicians, radiologists, imaging scientists, software developers, and imaging technologists as required.
Ensuring a seamless handoff to Project Management after contract signing and continuous monitoring of existing projects with customers.
Customer relationship management, maintaining a face to the customer after the sale, building customer satisfaction, tracking customer feedback utilizing VirtualScopics processes.
Desired Skills and Experience
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required, MBA or graduate degree preferred.
10 years sales experience with a proven track record in direct sales, technical sales, capital equipment sales, and/or selling solutions/consulting services or equivalent experience.
Experience selling to the pharmaceutical industry preferred.
Requirements
Ability to sell effectively to senior executives as well as medical, scientific, and outsourcing personnel.
Travel up to 50% of the time.
Ability to identify potential prospects, qualify them effectively, and turn them into buyers and satisfied customers.
Maintaining assigned accounts and continuously prospecting for new opportunities within their assigned geographic or therapeutic areas.
Must have experience preparing and delivering articulate PowerPoint presentations to clients relative to VirtualScopics capabilities and services.
Participating in and representing the company in various trade shows and industry conferences.
Participates in the preparation of strategic business, product development, and marketing plans.
Interface well with other departments including radiology, imaging science, project management, and finance.
Self confident with excellent oral and written communications skills.
Strong organizational skills and an ability to structure ambiguous problems with attention to detail.
Excellent responsiveness and professionalism in all interactions both internally and externally; extreme focus on customer satisfaction.
Ability to learn quickly, function independently, and handle increasing levels of responsibility.
Must be familiar with all Microsoft Office applications.
Multi-lingual a plus.
