Role: Head of Operational Risk Advisory, South East Asia
The role is mandated with the leadership of the 1 st Line Operational Risk Advisory & Assurance team in Singapore. This is a very important role within our Assurance team given the Super-Regional strategy for Global Markets and the critical need to work very closely within a small global Assurance team to ensure a consistent global approach to ANZ’s ORMMF.
This role works very closely with the respective Regional Heads/Business Managers in Global Markets in Singapore and also is a Segment Lead with a nominated Global Business Unit (GBU) e.g. Rates, to ensure a globally consistent approach to operational risk identification, quantification and mitigation across the GBUs operating platform.
Responsibilities:
· Provide strategic input and leadership on risk issues affecting Global Markets.
· Represent Operational Risk & Assurance at Singapore Risk Management Committee, Global Markets Asia Risk Forum & Singapore Markets Management Meeting.
· Provide input into the end to end risk profile for the business under ORMMF (Operational Risk Measurement & Management Framework).
· Perform associated key controls testing under ORMMF.
· Management of operational risk incident investigation, root cause analysis & remediation.
· Work with our partners in Compliance, Business Management and Markets support functions to enhance our control environment and provide quality assurance work.
· Partner with Markets Risk Governance & Internal Audit on initiatives and reviews.
· Represent Operational Risk & Assurance during regulatory inspections (APRA, MAS).
Required skills:
· 8 years Markets experience.
· Exposure to a broad range of Markets products.
· Excellent understanding of Global Markets including front to back processes.
· Excellent understanding of operational risk and controls.
· A proven capability of building business relationships at all management levels.
· Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.
· Strong influencing skills.
· Proven track record of people management.
