Job description
Based at our Corporate Office in Singapore, we are looking for a passionate and energetic individual to join us as Director of Finance.
Job Responsibilities
The key responsibilities are to support and assist the Vice President, Finance to provide guidance to the finance teams from the properties under management and business support to the General Managers of the properties and the PPHG management team.
The Role
Provide guidance on management of the accounting records and financial reports, ensuring compliance with company, owner, statutory and fiscal requirements and timelines.
Ensure legal and tax compliance and that adequate insurance cover is maintained.
Ensure proper permits and licenses have been obtained for such matters as importation, currency transfers and hotel operations (bars, clubs etc.).
Liaise and work with both internal and external Audit, ensuring that an effective programme of in-hotel audit is in place and follow-ups on corrective actions are promptly taken.
Develop best practise financial accounting and control procedures.
Review annual CAPEX budget submission from the owned properties.
Support business initiatives, major pricing decisions and other decision making.
Review and work with all related parties to produce meaningful budgets and accurate forecasting.
Desired Skills and Experience
Degree in Accounting or Finance field
Minimum 7 to 8 years of experience, preferably least 2 years’ experience in a Director of Finance capacity in the hospitality industry.
Strong analytical skills.
Excellent problem solving skills.
Able to travel.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
