Summary of Role:
The APAC Marketing Manager is responsible for strategic development and execution of demand generation and marketing campaigns and events across APAC (including ANZ, India, China, ASEAN and Japan) for the PGBU. Working closely with the International Marcomms team, the PGBU Industry Strategy team and the local Sales Directors, the APAC marketing manager is responsible for ensuring that global demand generation initiatives are designed and executed taking into consideration specific APAC requirements whilst still aligning with the PGBU’s overall strategic objectives.
Managing agencies and an in-house contractor, the APAC Marketing Manager is responsible for ensuring all campaigns and events are executed in region with appropriate tactics to deliver against forecasted results. They are also responsible for representing PGBU Marketing within the broader Oracle local field Marketing teams.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Marketing Planning
Develop 6 monthly marketing strategy & plan for APAC (ANZ, India, China, ASEAN, Japan) in conjunction with Int’l Marcomms, Local Sales and Industry Strategy teams
Provide regional input into core global demand generation imitatives ensuring appropriate APAC representation in the planning process
Develop and manage the PGBU Marketing budget for APAC and provide quarterly spend forecasts
Lead Generation
Manage the delivery of vertical specific and cross-vertical lead generation campaigns and events across APAC
Manage agencies and in-house contractor (China) for the execution of the marketing plan across the regions
Manage local agency relationships and monitor/track results with regular review meetings
Appoint new agencies where required and manage relevant on-boarding/training activity
Represent Int’l Marcomms on APAC Demand Generation Board
Reporting
Track the results (leads/pipeline) of marketing programmes and drive improvement programmes where necessary
Report campaign metrics to Int’l Marketing Director and Demand Generation Board stakeholders on a regular basis
Collaboration
Represent PGBU Marketing within broader Oracle local field marketing management and teams and identify areas of collaboration
Represent Int’l Marcomms on PGBU APAC Demand Generation Board
Work closely with local Sales Directors
Work closely with all members of Int’l Marcomms team
Develop relationship with local PR teams to leverage activity where appropriate
People Management
Full responsibility for the management of the China Marketing Executive (contractor) based in Beijing setting objectives and monitoring delivery against planned programmes
Management of local agencies for campaign execution
Desired Skills and Experience
Desired experience
Proven experience and success in designing strategy and delivering cross-regional lead generating marketing programmes in at least 3 of the following territories: ANZ, India, China, ASEAN, Japan
Proven experience in working with and managing input from multiple senior stakeholders
Necessary attributes
Good communicator
Ability to work well as part of a team
Ability to think strategically as well as manage execution of programmes
