Senior Product Planning Manager - Seagate Technology - Singapore

Job description
The Senior Product Planning Manager will be responsible for roadmap management and all product planning activities for the Seagate Singapore Design Center:
Define Product Roadmap and high-level details of the product for the design teams to execute to.
Define framework market requirements documents, high-level business plans and other supporting business analytics required to drive key decisions and meet Seagate internal process requirements
Guide the Product Planning Activities for key future technologies through the Advance Drive
Development phase with regular reviews of progress with executive management
Provide high level Market Analysis and Trends to customer facing Seagate teams. Must be able to work with engineering and business leaders from Seagate’s customer base to develop a perspective on key product requirements
Utilize competitive analysis from both business and technology viewpoints through SWOT and technology benchmarking tools to drive product decisions/positioning
Reports to Sr. Director, Worldwide Product Planning to ensure product roadmap requests meet Client Organization business objectives and market strategy

Desired Skills and Experience
The candidate should ideally possess the following qualifications and qualities:
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline, MBA a plus
10 years’ experience in the hard disk, solid state drive, data storage, or PC industry preferred
Creative thought process and ability to think out of the box
Excellent communication (both oral and written) skills
Planning, Analytical and Management skills
Ability to work well in cross-functional and cross-cultural team environments
Independent and willing to challenge the norms
