Reporting to the Vice President Communication and Public Affairs, Asia Pacific, the Director, Communication & Public Affairs, is responsible for the strategic planning, development and implementation of integrated external communication and public affairs strategies to support the business objectives of the Asia Pacific region.
The Director liaises with members of the Asia Pacific regional team, to deploy communication and public affairs activities to support the regional business to meet its strategic business objectives.
Define and deliver strategically coordinated internal and external communications and public affairs activities that advance and harness Insight, Innovation & Integrity to support the business objectives of Janssen in Asia Pacific.
This role includes ongoing, proactive and thoughtful assessment of the Region’s communication and public affairs needs and creative application of industry / therapeutic area knowledge and trends, and functional area expertise to develop meaningful communication strategies.
This individual is responsible for prioritizing resources and ensuring all external and internal communication is fully aligned with the established regional strategic positioning for the Business and corporate philosophy.

Internal Communication (10%) -- Responsible for leading, internal employee communications team in their design & delivery of programs to engage employees, and heighten their level of business understanding and commitment to meeting the AP region’s goals and objectives.
related Experience
Proven performer with minimum 10 years of experience managing health care communication and / or public affairs programs is preferred. Experience in public relations / public affairs agency, an NGO, government agency or related corporate experience is also desirable
Experience in public health policy arena within one or more of the major commercial markets; Preferably China and/or Japan
