Job description
Development and implementation of business plans, marketing strategy, and forecasts for a product/service or vertical market. Manages a staff of managers.
As a manager in product marketing, you will be responsible for leading the development of company marketing specifications for specific product(s) or product line(s). Manage marketing activities within the context of the overall corporate plan to meet company objectives. Monitor the development of business plans and business results of e-marketing. Manage lifecycles and product positioning in the market place.
Identify customer needs, oversee market research, and monitor the market trends/competitive landscape. Implement and monitor advertising campaigns. Act as a technical advisor for specific product(s). Initiate and foster relationships with development, sales, and other groups to develop new products or enhance functionality of existing product(s) or product line(s). Ensure successful product releases based on corporate priorities.
Directs and ensures the implementation of operational policies through subordinate managers. Interacts internally and externally with executive management involving negotiation of difficult matters to influence policy. Functional expertise and broad company knowledge. In-depth knowledge of the computer industry, database and development technology and markets. Extensive marketing analysis experience. BA/BS degree. MBA preferred.

REPORTS TO: Vice-President, Marketing, Asia Pacific
DIRECT REPORTS TO THIS ROLE: ASEAN marketing program managers
KEY OBJECTIVES / RESPONSIBILITIES
· Lead a team of field marketing managers to plan and execute innovative demand generation programs that will contribute to ASEAN’s target revenue
· Performance will be based on achievement of pipeline and revenue targets
· Marketing leader representing Marketing LOB in ASEAN senior management team
· Key member of Asia Pacific field marketing leadership team
· Lead X-LOB collaboration across all lines of business in ASEAN and APAC (if required) to produce integrated sales and marketing campaigns that will drive high ROI in pipeline generation and revenue achievement.
· Pro-actively work with key ASEAN Sales and APAC Marketing stakeholders to :
o Regularly review marketing plans to ensure alignment with business priorities
o Regularly review results of marketing programs and recommend innovative demand generation programs to address gaps.
o Manage adjustments to plans in support of short term and long term business objectives of Oracle
· Proactively identify market trends and needs; and act to create opportunities in market leadership for Oracle.
· Continually seek improvement in ROI from marketing activities through focus on measurement tracking and closed loop marketing campaign execution
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE And TRAINING
· At Least 15 Years Of Experiences In Sales/Marketing, Of Which At Least
o 10 years in marketing – preferably with enterprise IT solution providers
o 8 years in team leader or in management capacity
o 5 years in sales/marketing integrated software/hardware to large, complex organizations
· Demonstrable knowledge and expertise in the IT Industry and key industry issues. First hand understanding of hardware market and competitive landscape preferred.
· Proven leadership and ability to drive virtual teams
· Strong communication skills: verbal, written, and interpersonal
· Strong analytical skills with ability to communicate complex ideas
· Self-starter with high energy level
