Job description
Reporting to the Global SVP of Financial Solutions, you will be primarily responsible for discovering details of the financial close process within large organisations, with the aim to uncover inefficiencies within their existing processes. This will enable the positioning of Redwood's Financial Close Automation (FCA) solution, to articulate the business value specific to each customer.


Responsibilities:

Work with the sales organisation to lead complex business engagements based on Redwood's FCA offering.
Identify key finance issues within the close process and map these issues to FCA solution capabilities, furthering the sales engagement.
Ensure client engagement is consistent with the defined processes and continues to function at the right level.
Engage with all levels of finance professionals within the customer to extract key issues and inefficiencies that could be optimised and use these to construct the required business case for investment.
An in-depth awareness of challenges faced by large enterprises in realising long term finance programs and strategies.
Ensure that the pre-sales team deliver required POCs / demonstrations that match the identified business requirements.
Facilitate workshops with a cross-group of senior finance personnel.
Synthesize workshop outputs into deliverable propositions with clearly articulated ROI.
Act as a role model and mentor to sales and pre-sales resources to effectively communicate at a business level.
Extensive travel will be required as part of this role.

Desired Skills and Experience
A strong finance background, accountancy qualification preferred.
Innate curiosity to learn how a business functions and learn new business models.
Extensive experience of the financial close element of the finance process.
Executive presence – must be comfortable influencing and collaborating in a senior environment.
Confident in discussing ROI, and business case development.
Strategic thinking that is focused on results and business outcomes.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Project management and team leadership to inspire, coordinate and deliver results back to our customers.
Strong facilitation skills with the ability to balance conversation within groups. Can solicit ideas from mixed groups and help them drive towards building consensus.
Ability to develop workshop plans and content tailored to meet the specific customer needs and objectives balanced with Redwood's needs and objectives.
Ability to lead the synthesis of workshop outputs into saleable plans and propositions.
Likely to come from a background of management consulting, or audit firm.
Fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese.
