Job description
Establish, implement and maintain processes to manage external parties, including Distributors, on behalf of Johnson & Johnson Medical Device, Pharma and Consumer Local operation Companies in Asia Pacific.
This position reports to the Senior Director Market Quality Medical Device APAC.


Responsibilities

• This position is responsible establishing, executing, monitoring, and continually improving systems and processes for managing external parties involved in local commercialization activities on behalf of J&J Local Operating Companies. Scope of responsibilities includes Distributor management, suppliers of local materials, services and purchased products for local distribution (including Products of Local Opportunity and Laboratory services), and coordinating with J&J source companies in regards to quality oversight of custom instruments and power tools.
• Execute designated activities on behalf of Asia Pacific Local Operating Companies
• Leverage knowledge to transfer J&J proven quality tools and programs.
• Lead cross-functional teams and provide subject matter expertise to LOCs and regional leaders
• Establish and maintain global and local relationships with partnering organizations.
• Oversee adherence to J&J Quality Policy-001and applicable Quality Policy Standards in all AP Local Operating companies. Operate as a key business partner for quality and process improvement, understand business requirements and execute quality programs to drive organization capability building.
• Monitor relevant regulations and ensure compliance to applicable Quality Standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO 13485, GDPs).
• Lead quality investigation to assess conformance to specifications, company procedures, and overall compliance to regulations.
• Work with Source Franchises to agree respective Quality System responsibilities and assure appropriate communication channels are created and maintained.
• Participate on Global Quality System initiatives to develop and deploy standardized systems across AP that meet regional needs and advance capability.
• Partner with Global and Regional BQ Councils
• Develop appropriate strategic and process performance measures/targets.
• Lead and build a quality culture with internal and external stakeholders.
• Entrench a process improvement culture within the business. Implement process management practices, verify/validate project results.
• Engage all company employees in these initiatives, through interactive project coaching/consulting and change management strategies.
• Work with external business partners and regulators to build capability and ensure compliance to quality standards.

Required

• Bachelors or Master’s degree in Business, Biosciences or Engineering or equivalent field
• Quality & Compliance professional with 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Minimum 5-10 years in Quality leadership roles.
• Proven track record of leading or coaching teams to achieve significant quality and process improvements.
• Proven experience with ISO13485 or equivalent quality standards program.
• Ability to proactively identify improvement opportunities.
• Excellent influencing and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to influence and interact at multiple levels of the organization.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver excellent results.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills. (In English)

Desirable

• MBA or equivalent.
• Black belt or related experience in Six Sigma, Design Excellence, Lean Thinking and Performance Dashboards.
• Process Excellence experience in diversified business areas.
• Change management models, methods and techniques.
• PE Business Assessment experience.
• Relevant experience in the healthcare, consumer or pharmaceutical industry.
