Job Description:
This role in the Digital (Emerging Markets) organization manages the creation of new mobile and digital payment solutions. Responsibilities include managing design and development of this mobile digital solution, with specific focus on product marketing aspects of the solution. This new solution has to be deployed keeping in mind the evolving market, client and consumer needs with the objective of driving significant future market growth for Visa in emerging markets. The role holder must possess a unique blend of product management and product marketing skills as well have intimate understanding of payments, mobile technology, consumer behavior and Visa’s business.
Responsibilities
Product Definition and Design
Design and development of new mobile and digital solutions that meet market requirements. The solution should contribute to the objectives laid out for it.
Based on synthesis of existing payments knowledge, market feedback, consumer research, conversations with potential partners, discussions with relevant SMEs and knowledge of market environment evolve and influence product design.
Work with key internal and external stakeholders (issuers, acquirers, processors and 3rd party service providers) account executives to enable the solution.
Provide thought leadership within the company in the mobile payment and digital space by keeping abreast with the latest trends and innovation in the space and influence adoption where appropriate
Product Sales and Marketing
Accelerate commercialization of the solution through B2B marketing interventions, end user marketing program and gather market feedback through research.
Develop and deploy B2B sales strategy and plan including client facing sell-in documents and collaterals, to help with commercialization of the solution. This would involve collaboration with multi-country in-market sales teams to drive usage and adoption.
Work with marketing team to develop innovative marketing programs in support of business objectives, with strong focus driving growth and adoption of solution. This would include creating of end user marketing campaigns, measuring effective of campaigns and research to understand the adoption of the solution.
Qualifications
Professional
10+ years’ work experience – though less is possible if coming from a highly relevant field, e.g. with prior experience in taking new products from the idea stage to commercial launch
Business degree preferred, Technical education and background is advantageous
Product marketing experience and acumen is expected
Extremely high value on direct exposure to emerging market payment solutions (mobile banking product management, mobile wallets, mobile money ecosystems, mobile money transfers)
Experience of living and working in emerging markets will be advantageous especially within financial and/or mobile services industries
Fluency in English is required
Technical
Understanding of Payments, Visa systems, Banking and Financial services, its platforms and commercial models
Knowledge of payment and mobile technology and its impact on emerging business models
Knowledge of Consumer behavior in Emerging markets
Knowledge of retail and its structure in emerging
