Job Description:
Within Visa Asia Pacific Products organization, the Digital Issuance team is responsible for identifying new opportunities for digital and mobile payments, creating customized strategies for Visa across diverse markets and delivering the capabilities required to capture these opportunities in one of Visa’s most dynamic and innovative regions. One of the high priority and strategic initiatives that the team is leading in Asia Pacific is tokenization. The Director for Digital Issuance, Asia Pacific will lead new digital payments related product initiatives including launch and go to market activities for Visa Token Service across Asia Pacific region. This role requires strategic thinking and deep understanding of core Visa and Digital payment products, VisaNet processing in the AP context, as well as expertise on payment processing and card management platforms deployed by banks in the region.
The role holder must blend technical, business and product management skills to deliver results that will have a business impact within and beyond Asia Pacific region, contributing to the success of Visa’s mobile and digital payment initiatives. The ideal candidate will be a structured thinker and creative problem solver capable of collaborating across multiple regional and global stakeholders with strong communication skills.
Responsibilities
Lead strategical digital payment initiatives such as Visa Token Service within AP region by collaborating with mobile and digital payments colleagues in AP as well as in San Francisco.
Define Visa business rules, technical specifications and product requirements in AP region related to Visa’s digital solutions to ensure that Visa AP requirements and interests are taken into account in global product plans for Visa Token Service and other relevant digital payment solutions.
Be a subject matter expert for in-country teams and Visa’s clients on Visa Token Service and other relevant solutions to assist with scoping, planning and implementation of digital payment programs across Visa AP taking shared accountability for the success of in-market implementations and compliance with program rules.
Communicate Visa’s digital payment solutions and go-to-market strategy to internal and external stakeholders including clients, regulators and industry partners.
Qualifications
Bachelors/Degree required, MBA preferred; Typically requires a minimum of 8-10 years progressively responsible business experience with experience in card payments industry, corporate banking or card processing preferred
Previous consulting experience preferred for Product Leadership roles
Demonstrated track record of implementing product strategies based on business objectives that deliver measurable business results.
Analytical, fact-based and the ability to synthesize and organize data/information
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and presentation skills and the proven ability to influence and communicate effectively.
Excellent planning, organizational and problem solving skills.
Demonstrated project management skills with ability to drive consensus in cross regional and cross functional teams.
Ability to translate product complexities into practical business solutions appropriate for Visa and its clients.
Flexible and creative thinker with the ability to define business tradeoffs, generate out-of-the-box solutions and manage uncertainty
