Position Overview Group Audit (GA) is seeking a Principal Audit Manager (PAM) responsible for the Finance APAC portfolio. This role will be based in Singapore and will report to the Chief Auditor for Finance. Key responsibilities of this role include: Risk identification and assessment: The PAM provides subject matter expertise to identify and assess financial and tax risks throughout DB APAC, providing quarterly analysis to GA management and the product teams to inform them on evolution of these risks. This requires strong ongoing business monitoring with key Finance APAC stakeholders as well as keeping current of pertinent industry, APAC regulatory and business practices. Audit Delivery: The PAM provides proactive management and delivery of the APAC Finance audit plan. This includes direct responsibility for execution of APAC audits and participation in global Finance audits and other regional audits that include finance or tax risks within the scope. This will require insightful risk assessment and audit planning, constructive audit reporting, issue tracking and issue closure validation. This also includes the risk and control management reporting requirements of GA and stakeholders. Leadership: The PAM provides forward looking and inspirational team leadership, enabling staff development, so as to enrich the skillsets of individuals and the team overall. This includes succession and staff development/career planning, coaching and creating an environment that attracts and retains talent. Relationship Management: The PAM will need to interface with business and infrastructure management to maintain constructive and balanced relationships. The PAM will also need to maintain excellent, responsive working relationships with other Group Audit teams, regulators and external auditors. Job Requirements: Currently holds Director level corporate title (or equivalent) with a combination of financial services and Big 4 accounting firm exposure. Significant experience in a Finance role or an audit role focused on Finance. Bachelors' degree in Accounting or other relevant Business-related discipline. ACA (or equivalent) professional qualification required. Working knowledge of key Finance risks. Solid understanding of APAC tax regulation and IFRS. Experience managing teams and leading projects. Strong strategic/analytical thinking and capacity to develop and drive positive change. Innovative mindset and ability to develop ideas, which are implemented and have a positive impact. Ability to develop strong internal and stakeholder relationships and effectively communicate and influence at all levels within Group Audit and with stakeholders. Independent in judgment; strongly self-motivated with the ability to challenge and be challenged whilst maintaining the highest levels of professionalism, integrity and ethics.
