Position Overview The IT Infrastructure Principal Audit Managers (PAM) in Singapore will be responsible for the global audit coverage of IT Infrastructure services, products and operation reporting to the Chief Auditor Infrastructure Technology based in New York. Responsibility for the complete portfolio of IT Infrastructure services, products and operation will be shared between the team of IT Infrastructure PAMs in Singapore, London, Frankfurt and New York. The detailed distribution of tasks and responsibilities between these four positions will be subject to permanent optimization, based on risk, client organization and location of responsible senior managers in GTO. The ideal candidates should therefore have the skills, experience and knowledge needed to manage audit coverage for all parts of the IT Infrastructure audit portfolio, including the organization and delivery of IT General Controls audits covering individual countries, locations and legal entities within the respective region. The complete audit universe of IT Infrastructure topics includes the following areas, following the current organization of the respective technology services areas within COO GTO: IT Infrastructure production and data center operation (retail + wholesale) IT Infrastructure end user services IT Infrastructure services and process management (including ITIL core processes) Software development, technology and support center operation and shared application services & testing IT strategy, architecture, innovation, engineering IT risk management, governance and control (including EUMA controls) Location specific IT General Controls and IT Infrastructure regional management Since the majority of DB's IT Infrastructure services, products and operations is outsourced, the role requires an understanding of outsourcing control processes and management. The PAM will have line management responsibility for the local team of IT Infrastructure auditors in the respective location. Overall responsibilities include: Planning, organizing and delivering a global audit program covering the assigned portfolio of IT Infrastructure services, products and operation from the list above. Engaging with the DB Groups stakeholders and global audit teams as required to drive effective risk based coverage, specifically close cooperation with the IT Infrastructure PAMs in the other locations. Supporting other global Technology and Business Area PAMs in providing risk and control input for planning or execution of audit tasks. Supporting local Regional Governance Team in monitoring IT Infrastructure related risks for the whole IT Infrastructure portfolio. Successful candidates will deal with senior management and work in partnership with Group Audit PAMs globally to create and manage the global audit plan and provide an integrated audit service to Senior Management across the organization. Key Responsibilities Plan, agree and execute a global IT Infrastructure audit plan and provide IT Infrastructure subject matter expertise to the Group Audit PAM team supporting technology and business function audits globally. Interact with major IT Infrastructure service providers on a global scale and review IT Infrastructure outsourcing arrangements and vendor operations. Provide risk focused and relevant input to audit tollgate meetings. In addition, provide subject matter expertise to other PAMs to assist in driving risk-based dynamic planning and supporting delivery of the global audit plan. Maintain relationships with other PAMs globally to support efficient and comprehensive integrated coverage of key risks. Identify and escalate audit issues fostering a constructive tone in audit reports. Review relevant audit issues, draft audit reports and communicate results to senior client management. Organize and execute tracking of open audit issues and validation of issue closures. Monitoring of risk profiles, regulatory requirements and industry developments, updating the audit plan and resource allocation as required. Managing the audit plan and available resources to deliver audits in time and budget. Establish relevant and measurable audit profiles and objectives for the IT Infrastructure audit universe. Maintain and document risk assessments and planning information for the assigned IT Infrastructure areas. On-board and retain the required talent and implement measures to assess the teams achievements. Provide additional in-region mentoring and support to the local technology audit staff. Supervise audit personnel, ensuring efficient scheduling such that staff are properly utilized with clear responsibility for execution of audit projects and provide guidance on quality standards. Maintain excellent, responsive working relationships with local management, regulators and external auditors. Person Specification Successful candidates will be self-starters, combining enthusiasm for the role with the ability to work in partnership with the other audit teams across the globe in delivering ‘one face' to our clients and external stakeholders including regulators. They must be able to operate at the most senior levels of the Bank. It is expected that the successful candidate will: Be a ‘risk manager', take personal accountability and be commercially pragmatic. Have a proven track record of building effective relationships, including at senior management level. Be able to work in a coordinated manner with fellow Principal Audit Managers, both locally and globally, building contacts and relationships with clients and colleagues through effective teamwork and innovative thinking. Be a proven multi-task manager who is resilient under pressure, with ability to plan, lead and execute the program of audit coverage with limited supervision. Demonstrate proven ability to manage teams, providing honest and constructive feedback. Understand and manage change effectively. Have an innovative mindset and be able to develop ideas which are implemented and have a positive impact. Design and disseminate best practice and lessons learned to colleagues and clients. Requirements The individual will: Have a deep understanding of IT Infrastructure services, products and their operation and well-founded general IT knowledge including practical experience in IT Infrastructure operation across several IT Infrastructure areas, like data center operations, end user services, network technology, server and database operations. Have experience and good understanding on the setup, implementation and operation of IT Infrastructure outsourcing and IT Infrastructure vendor management. Be experienced in articulating IT Infrastructure risks with understanding of large scale operations, managed and outsourced services, interdependencies and complexity of a global financial institution. Have very good understanding of relevant control processes across data access controls, physical security, vendor risk management, asset & configuration management, security architecture, contingency planning, and system security. Be accustomed to operating in a highly regulated environment, and have a good understanding of the regulatory framework in which DB operates. Be experienced in managing teams in an international and multi-cultural environment. Have a proven track record of meeting client needs in a financial services environment and delivering analytical work under tight deadlines. Possess a solid understanding of internal control risk assessment concepts and audit methodology and strong analytical skills. Have proven communication and presentation skills.
