The role of Director, Global Market Management (GMM) APAC FP&A is an integral part of the fast paced and rapidly expanding Lodging Partner Services (LPS) team in delivering all global revenue financial planning and analysis activities across multiple geographies and multiple product types.
The role is responsible for managing and developing the planning, reporting, and analytical tools necessary to maximize business effectiveness and efficiency for the GMM APAC organization. The role will also provide decision support and have ownership for forward looking business and operational planning, ongoing business and supplier information analysis, supplier-based reporting, business metrics analysis and forecasting, contract negotiations and business performance measurement.

This position plays a critical role in providing to and being actively part of the leadership to APAC on not just the supplier side but the broader picture. Including providing reporting and forecasting to the Global Market Management (GMM) leadership team with information and conclusions necessary to better understand its suppliers and the inter-relationships of our hotels leading Expedia to further growth and stronger business results.
The role will also cover key partnerships with the brand finance teams around critical business metrics to help provide insight and drive the brand business forward.
Responsibilities
Increase knowledge and understanding to provide business leaders with data to optimize revenue.
Work closely with counterparts to develop reporting functionality.
Create APAC organizational strategies in partnership with senior leadership and business partners that align with organizational and company objectives
Weekly performance analysis, quarterly forecasting, presentation and reporting
Annual Plan and strategic planning involvement including APAC QBR’s
Support client’s needs for ad-hoc reporting and presentations, and lead financial reviews.
Work with business partners to develop business forecasting and planning models.
Explain financial concepts and models to non-financial business partners.
Interact with senior leaders to provide financial analysis recommendations and input on strategic and operational initiatives for business unit(s) supported.
Focus on multiple ongoing projects related to one or more components of strategic initiatives; and provide forecasting, planning and analytical support for a multi-year view on key P&L lines.
Make recommendations that supports EBITDA growth.
Requirements:
University degree educated with appropriate accounting qualification (MBA a plus)
10 years+ strong relevant experience required (accounting and financial analysis).
Self-starter and confident in own skill set and knowledge, with the ability to handle multiple and diverse projects simultaneously and bring experience of business modeling and analysis to the Expedia team.
Good strategic and tactical business skills and a passion for using data to drive better decision making.
Proactive, capable of working with minimal direct management and forward looking is essential.
Ability to do the detail but also summarise and articulate clearly to senior mgt.
Advanced systems or data interrogation experience
Strong team player and people leader with excellent relationship skills
Ability to drive and influence change and produce results through others / partners
Highly organized with the ability to easily multi-task
Trustworthy/honest/high integrity
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical skills with strategy, planning, and business acumen
Experience working with processes across multiple products and geographies
Excellent spreadsheet, data-management, and presentation skills
