Job Summary:
Red Hat is seeking a Global Project Manager to join our team in Singapore. In this role, you will be responsible for the coordination and logistics of expansion, relocation, and new office openings of global real estate projects. While working cross-functionally with multiple business units and external partners, the Global Project Manager will set deadlines, assign responsibilities, monitor and summarize the progress of all assigned real estate projects. Strong communication and motivational skills are an integral part of the role, as you will lead and direct the work of others. You'll work closely with our Global Real Estate and Information Technology departments, among others, and report directly to the manager of global project management and sustainability.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
Work cross-functionally with multiple teams and external partners to help determine project scope and business needs
Develop, manage, and track project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing need and requirements
Work closely with functional leaders and manage day-to-day operations
Effectively apply our methodology and process, suggesting areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions
Enforce global workplace guidelines and standards
Ensure projects are completed in accordance with the contract documents and the highest degree of quality
Minimize exposure and risk on a given project and communicate all concerns or issues to appropriate stakeholders
Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately, including legal documents having proper signatures
Hold regular status meetings with project team, focusing on clear communication and accountability, and issue organized, informative status reports
Comply with, help to enforce, and further develop internal standards, policies, and procedures
Promote industry leading practices in sustainability for construction, design, product development, manufacturing, sourcing, and distribution
Monitor sustainability trends, thought leaders, and conferences, and communicat innovations and create educational opportunites for all employees
Assist with initiatives regarding World Environment Day events
Desired Skills and Experience
Required Skills:
Willing to maintain contact with international participants through evening and early morning audio and video calls
Bachelors degree in construction management, project management, building science or equivalent experience preferred
5+ years of construction project management experience, with significant focus in real estate project management and sustainable practices
LEED accreditation desired, as well as knowledge in other globally recognized certifications
High proficiency in schedule and contract preparation and administration
International business experience, with knowledge of financial principles and reporting abilities
Extensive experience with spreadsheet and presentation applications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Tact in communicating difficult or sensitive information
Ability to work independently, prioritize, problem solve, manage time effectively, and motivate
Desire to work in a fast-paced environment and coordinate a task force from multiple backgrounds, departments, cultures, and regions
Ability to manage multiple projects globally at the same time
Willing to travel up to 20% of the time
