Job description

The Assistant Manager - Marketing Analytics will support the Head of Tripadvisor and Performance Display Marketing to optimize the performance of multiple campaigns across a variety of different marketing channels. The ideal candidate will be results-oriented and data driven with strong attention to detail, capable of generating innovative ideas and turning them into robust operational systems that drive profit for the company.



As well as strong technical skills and a creative approach to problem solving, the candidate needs to be able to translate data quickly into meaningful insights for the rest of the team.



Experience in online marketing for a fast moving company is essential: the candidate needs to be aware of, and excited by, trends in online travel, social media and search engine marketing and optimization. Candidates must be inquisitive and evangelical about the tools they have to drive visitors to the site, and be able to quickly learn new techniques with a minimum of handholding.



Candidates should be able to show evidence of being able to manage their workload independently and deliver tangible results



Responsibilities

Managing campaign performance using existing tools, and working to improve those tools

Working across different teams to ensure best possible campaign performance

Identifying new strategies for campaign optimization and turning them from prototypes into operational systems
Desired Skills and Experience

Degree in numerate discipline (e.g. Physics / Engineering / Mathematics / Computer Sciences)

Minimum 3 years’ experience within an e-commerce company preferably from the online travel industry

Competent with Microsoft Office, SQL

Capable of working independently with a minimum of supervision

Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)

Passion for travel and data

Experience of statistical packages (e.g. R, SPSS, SAS), scripting (Python, perl, php) and Big Data (e.g. Hadoop) would be useful, although not mandatory for this role
