Position Summary
Provide thought leadership and strategic direction for the growth of core and emerging products across South East Asia, India and South Asia. This purpose encompasses the development and delivery of product strategies, a pipeline of product developments, acceleration plans, category product management and customer preference that underpins the purpose of growing revenue for Visa Inc. Lead a team, through effective people management and development programs, that are in line with Visa’s strategic objectives and Values.
Responsibilities
Key Result Areas
1. Create strategies and product plans that drive Visa’s competitive advantage and revenue growth agenda for core and emerging products (including ecommerce, mobile and contactless) across SEA, India and South Asia.
2. Lead category wide initiatives with key stakeholders across functional teams to execute initiatives that are quantifiable and aligned with the corporate and customer’s strategic objectives for all products.
3. Manage planning, forecasting and financial reporting
4. Design compelling, differentiated and relevant product plans that leverage Visa’s system, IP, brand/ marketing programs and commercial assets to positively influence revenue growth in SEA, India and South Asia
5. Effectively manage a team that grows and guides the evolution of products to meet and exceed the needs of all stakeholders across the geography
6. Drive performance management, career development, recruitment, succession planning and talent assessment for the team
7. Understand economic implications of Visa business strategy and manage budget, investment and product profitability to meet business objectives
8. Lead and assign key projects and activities to deliver superior products and services in SEA, India and South Asia
9. Utilize industry, consumer purchasing behavior, retail banking trend analysis and customer knowledge to seek out new business opportunities
10.Maximize portfolio performance by identifying and addressing growth opportunities and lead the formulation of new performance metrics and analytical tools to enhance portfolio benchmarking capabilities SEA, India and South Asia
11.Exhibit leadership behaviors in respect of being an advocate of Visa’s products and initiatives in the industry, including preparation and delivery for forums, conferences and customer events
Qualifications
Professional
1. Minimum 15 years experience in retail bank/consumer cards marketing businesses coupled with at least 10 years experience in managing transactional banking services, cards business in a financial institution, especially in a multinational role
2. Business degree/MBA
Technical
1. Advanced understanding of banking and payment card system and processes
2. Sound knowledge of marketing principles, product management and retail banking business acumen
3. Experience/knowledge of emerging payment trends and competitive landscape
Business
1. Strong analytical, quantitative, commercial, project management and interpersonal skills
2. Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
3. Disciplined and tolerant of ambiguity, with the maturity and capability to interact and influence across multiple organizational levels internal and external to Visa.
4. Negotiation skills with proven track record of achieving results
5. P&L experience and focus on delivering strong financial results for stakeholders
