You are a creative, strategic and hands on communications professional with experience devising and executing successful public relations initiatives across the diverse Asia Pacific region (Japan, ANZ, South-East Asia, Hong Kong and India). Your Next Challenge:
Devise and deliver country-specific and regional media relations strategies and programs that externally promote differentiation from our competitors, raise awareness and understanding of our full suite of products and services to key audiences in Asia Pacific and help build the Getty Images brand.
Manage and collaborate with external PR agencies to develop and execute these strategies, and, when required, execute media activity directly without agency support.
Adapt and localise global announcements, initiatives and copy so they resonate with media at the local level.
Consistently deliver excellent writing products (eg press releases, opinion pieces, social media content, strategic plans).
Cultivate productive relationships with key journalists in the region.
Work with colleagues throughout the company to develop and reinforce our positioning and presence in key regional media
Collaborate closely with the local and global Marketing teams to ensure alignment across strategic initiatives.
Create and drive PR strategies around branded and industry events.
What You Will Need:

Great relationship-building skills and the ability to work across different cultures and time zones.
A minimum of five years of experience in communications for a multi-national, creative, media or PR agency.
Proven understanding of global media and how to effectively localise announcements and intitiatives for the Asia Pacific region.
Excellent written and spoken English; Japanese language skills a strong plus.
Experience managing one or more PR agencies and other consultants.
Crisis communications experience.
Experience working with senior management.
Social media management.
Track record of cultivating relationships with reporters and editors.
Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
