Program Manager, AV Deployments Google - Singapore
Job description
Google's projects, like our users, span the globe and require managers to keep the big picture in focus. As a Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating goals to project stakeholders. Your projects often span offices, time zones and hemispheres, and it's your job to keep all the players coordinated on the project's progress and deadlines.
Using your deployment and project management experience, you will manage and lead technical projects that create and support Googlers’ AV and VC (Audio Video and Video Conferencing) experience. You must demonstrate the ability to provide matrix leadership across functional teams, lead complex projects to successful completion, and understand complex, technical topics. Success requires a combination of strong technical competency and the ability to lead and influence across functional groups.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams: AV/VC Engineers, Networking, Technical Support, Facilities, external vendors, architects, general contractors, and users to drive all aspects of project delivery.
Use stellar technical judgment and previous operations experience to execute entire project life-cycle: proposal, requirements, project and resource planning, expectation setting, communication, budgets, pilot, build, and closeout.
Develop and execute plans under a set of implementation and delivery time constraints.
Troubleshooting technical challenges, problem solving, and physical site related issues.
Utilize reviews, challenge proposals, and build consensus via broad collaboration, clear communication and strong documentation.
Minimum Qualifications
BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
3 years of project management and deployments experience successfully leading global, technical projects involving several IT teams and business units.
Preferred Qualifications
3 years of relevant (e.g., project management, hardware deployment) work experience.
Creative problem-solving, analytical skills, agile under pressure, and impeccable business judgment.
Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills across several diverse technical and non-technical groups.
Ability to establish priorities, work independently, successfully execute multiple projects, and proceed with objectives with minimal supervision. Ability to understand technical subjects and emerging technologies and their relevance to the marketplace.
Ability to travel internationally.
