Role Description:
This role is a key role in the GGO Executive Leadership team, responsible for accelerating and coordinating growth opportunities within the corporate customer segment across GGO regions. The role supports Region MDs in building strategic networks and winning business with targeted corporate customers.
Major Areas of Accountability:
Works with the Region MDs, other GGO Market Development leads and Strategy team to co-develop the strategic roadmap (organic & inorganic). Defines a unified GGO strategy for corporates
Builds understanding of the full suite of propositions relevant to each industry, from across BUs, and positions and messages these propositions in a coherent and connected way
Supports regional leadership teams as a CoE in building strategic networks and winning business with corporate customers:
Inputs to development of regional industry-specific growth plans, drawing from previous experience to identify opportunities, requirements, and go to market strategy
Coaches and supports Region MDs in developing and maintaining relationships with influential business leaders as appropriate. Leverages existing contacts where appropriate to provide regional sales teams with access to business leaders
Provides regions with tools, frameworks and approaches to support bid management, strategic partnerships, solution scoping and negotiation of contractual terms
Provides on the-ground expertise and support to region MDs in developing specific sales opportunities of scale
Drives growth within a specific industry for GGO:
Brings together global expertise and capabilities across Thomson Reuters with own insight into the industry, promoting cross vertical initiatives that address the segment
Demonstrates thought leadership within industry, and contributes towards positioning Thomson Reuters appropriately with this customer segment
Desired Skills and Experience
Key Experiences:
Relevant experience of 3 years plus highly desired
Experience of working with and/or leading a commercial go-to-market team essential
Must have excellent communication/interpersonal skills, and demonstrate a track record of building long-term relationships with Corporate entities
Strong consulting/strategy/advisory background preferred, particularly within a fee-generating context
Experience in Financial, Legal, Tax, IT and New Media industries preferred
Knowledge of emerging markets
Global experience required
Experience with coordinating remote and virtual teams in different locations and cultures, and in a matrixed/shared organization
Global travel required, estimated at 40% initially to reduce to 25% once on board
Competencies & Skills:
Strong results orientation with proven ability to mobilize and energise large, complex cross-functional teams to design and implement key initiatives
Ability to interface with gravitas and credibility with BUs and GGO MDs
Strong executive presence required as role will be part of the GGO and Executive Leadership Team
Strong negotiation and influencing skills
Strong oral, written, and listening skills. Ability to communicate effectively and present information in a variety of different formats to employees and managers at all levels and in multiple cultures across the organisation
Ability to work within a matrix management environment, demonstrating skills in influencing, negotiating, and the ability to work in with ambiguity. A successful candidate will view the corporate structure as a resource to be leveraged
Strong co-ordination skills, bringing together sales, and product specialists globally/virtually as needed

Breadth and depth of commercial, financial, and business knowledge
