Market Access Director - ASEAN - Sanofi - Singapore


Job description
The Market Access Director, ASEAN will work closely with country market access teams, commercial and medical teams, Public Affairs, Finance, Global marketing to support the implementation of global market access strategies in the countries and to act as a Centre of Expertise to provide market access support in the countries.
In this role, the responsibilities are not limited to the following:

Market Access Health Economics and Reimbursement Support
Develop strategies and guide country teams on reimbursement and pricing submissions preparation.
Assist countries in developing and adapting all types of Health Economic analyses for reimbursement and other purposes .
Lead planning development and execution of region-wide market access support projects.
Liaise and coordinate closely with Head Public Affairs Asia on policy and access related matters
Coordinate regional implementation of global initiatives/deliverables related to Market Access (clinical trials, observational studies, regulatory timelines, pricing strategies, value dossier generation, et) with country level activities (dossier development, submission data, payer interactions)
Adapt for regional use global reimbursement support materials (global value story, reimbursement negotiation guide, payer objection handler)
Coordinate reimbursement pricing activities for the company’s pharmaceutical products;
Develop and maintain effective relationships with key Global internal stakeholders to ensure the Health Outcomes and Pricing teams have timely access to key data;
Develop and maintain effective relationships with key external bodies including leading relationships with Department of Health, reimbursement agencies and similar;
Budget management for regional pricing and reimbursement support projects including fees, consultancy costs
Coordination, Communication and Development
Ensure regional needs and views are effectively input into global product development plans and projects
Ensure global MA plans are effectively communicated to countries and implemented consistently
Ensure that the country MA & HE functions in the region communicate and collaborate effectively with each other.
Keep country market access & commercial teams abreast of Health Technology Assessment and reimbursement policy trends
Mentor, advise and assist direct reports with submissions and providing input and advice where appropriate
Represent sanofi on industry bodies and advise country management on Market Access , Reimbursement and Pricing health policy position options
Ensure direct project planning, budgeting and logistics for the Department (including New Products; Horizon Scanning)
Develop competencies and capabilities in Health Economics, Reimbursement and related areas across the region to ensure Sanofi maintains a competitive advantage in these areas .
Explore and identify and develop new Market Access / reimbursement avenues in Asia
Pricing
Work with countries market access team on price establishment, justification and defence strategies
Assist the Pricing Manager in providing guidance to their management team in the negotiation of local prices with Global and the relevant Authorities

Desired Skills and Experience
Essential Skills and Experience
Prior experience in market access with international experience
In depth understanding of global payer environment, including global coverage and reimbursement decision making processes, pricing and contracting strategies, formulary management, health technology assessment and payment policies.
Demonstrated ability to successfully lead cross-functional teams, including interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and succeed in a highly matrix environment.
Experience in lobbying activities
