Sales Director - Middleware Solutions - Red Hat - Singapore
Job description
The Red Hat Sales team in ASEAN is seeking a Middleware Solutions Sales Director. In this role, you will support Red Hat’s strategy to promote the sharing and adoption of our leading-edge Red Hat JBoss Middleware technology with our largest enterprise accounts by enabling them to define, develop, and deploy their next-generation middleware strategies. You'll also be responsible for building strategic relationships with executives and key business leaders to promote Red Hat's portfolio of middleware products, including application development, application and service hosting, business rules management, business process management, content aggregation, data federation, and service integration on-site or in the cloud. We'll need you to have experience working with large enterprise accounts as well as selling middleware solutions. Candidates in Singapore, Malaysia, or Indonesia will be considered.
Primary job responsibilities
Work with the enterprise sales teams to plan the overall middleware strategy within a set of defined accounts
Guide the customer from their initial adoption of basic application server technology and grow the account to include rules engines, business process management platforms, ESBs, enterprise messaging, portals, etc.
Gain the trust of senior IT and business executives within key accounts and create long-term partnerships with them
Work with enterprise sales teams to ensure Red Hat JBoss Middleware products become the first choice for our strategic customers
Be responsible for the ASEAN middleware sales numbers.
Travel across ASEAN (up to 50%) to provide middleware sales coverage with enterprise sales teams
Required skills
University degree or equivalent is highly preferred
3+ years of experience in a solution sales role focused on enterprise middleware like Red Hat JBoss Middleware, IBM WebSphere, Oracle WebLogic, etc.
Background in consultative customer engagement with a middleware software provider or on the sales team of a middleware software reseller
Broad technical experience with enterprise middleware technologies
Advanced knowledge of the financial services industry
Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as the ability to present to executives at large firms
Ability to sell solutions in a multi-product environment
Proven ability to work with global cross-functional teams and achieve success for customers
Ability to maintain a balance of strategic and tactical skills
Willingness to travel up to 50%
