Director Operations Strategy Business Singtel Singapore

Job Description:
We are looking for a Director, Operations, Strategy & Business to lead the operations, covering strategic business planning, Annual Operating Plan (AOP), business plans integration and operational execution (forecast/get-well plans). You will be driving strategy covering mid/long term business planning and organizational planning, refining plans through productive business targeting through intelligence and insights from management reporting, analysis and data mining.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Managing Director, Business Group, Group Enterprise, you will be responsible for:

Operations
Co-leading in the running of Business Group (BG) operations, to achieve the financial targets
Day-to-day P&L management through management of BG Operations team and segment leaders
Business Group Plan execution and tracking, ensuring short and mid-term results
Financial objectives through disciplined forecasting reviews process with each segment
Detailed dash boarding to track performance, monitor/controlling expenditures; analysing revenue/EBITDA variances; initiating get well plan as required
Leading in continuous improvement in systems, process and automation across BG
Ensuring design and implementation of commission plan and implementation to support tactical and strategic business objectives
Continuous enhancement of business processes to expedite sales functions
Ensuring interlock and implementation of plan between BG, BP, EDMS, NCS and EBS on a regular basis

Strategy
Co-leading, synergising and integrating segment level strategies into BG Strategy, influencing the progression and growth of BG over the immediate term and the medium term (3-years)
Leading all planning exercises (Desktop, Mid-Year, AOP) for cyclical business planning for BG
Executing and coordinating effective communication sessions and events for MD to impart BG strategy and vision; empowering the people across grades ahead
Co-leading Organisational Planning for sustainable BG growth

Market Development
Small Medium Enterprise (SME) Segment Marketing operations and campaigns, market sensing and trend analysis, to deliver business results through targeted marketing activities.

Leadership/People
Leading a team of direct and virtual of 20 staffs across BG
Harnessing and optimizing team of unique individuals with specialized skillsets, providing on-the-job training for all staffs, and ensuring adoption of best practice across the team
Augmenting, mentoring and coaching staff to scale organisation, to be able to support core and growth initiatives
Accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees; developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards
Maintaining or improving BG engagement score in Your Voice through partnering with MD and change leaders/agents


To Be Successful For This Role, You Will Need
Degree in Business Administration or equivalent
Minimum 12 years of experience in leading business planning, analysis and operations
Must also have experience in budgeting and driving accurate management reporting and analysis for key business decisions
Understanding of SingTel and Business Sales’ business, strategy and the processes of business planning and budgeting
Strategic, independent and critical thinking
Strong analytical and numeric abilities
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Courage and conviction to share good ideas
People management skills
Supervisory experience in leading a team
Professional skills in Economics, Statistics, Financial
