Within GMI, the Market and Infrastructures Managers (MIM) are responsible for the procurement, management and oversight of the agent banks as well as various aspects of the Firm’s membership and relationship with FMIs ensuring we meet the TPO requirements, assess the underlying risks, meet all regulatory requirements, and manage our spend. The MIM team is also required to understand the markets covered, track and evaluate market developments, lead and participate in market or industry discussions to represent the interests of the various LOBs and their clients. The MIM team works closely with the GMI Network Service Management (NSM) team in the areas of performance management, regulatory reporting and audit, and with the GMI Network Client Consulting (NCC) team for communicating the market information to the LOBs and their clients.
The Cash Market and Infrastructure Head for the APAC region is responsible for a team of market managers delivering the procurement, management and oversight of the APAC network of agent banks and Financial Market Infrastructures working in partnership with the other core GMI functions and our business partners.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Working with the global functional heads to ensure a cohesive regional cash strategy
Providing a regional view into the GMI leadership team
Day to day management of the cash Network team to ensure appropriate selection, management and oversight of the network of cash agents and FMIs
Participation in local regulatory oversight, reporting and interaction
Maintaining and enhancing the regional control environment
Building strong relationships with GMIs key strategic internal and external partners in region through regular dialogue to support the global LOB coverage and agent bank/FMI relationship management
Providing regional senior leadership in support of crisis events, regional project execution and agent/FMI escalation
Managing regional budgets including resourcing, supporting functional hiring, T&E expenditure, attendance and absence tracking
Qualifications

Minimum 10 years experience in Wholesale Banking
Strong understanding of cash, FX and derivative operations, risks and controls
Previous experience in Network Management will be an advantage
Strong skills in the areas of Risk Management, Compliance and Oversight & Control
Excellent relationship management, partnership and influencing skills
Strong negotiation and strategic planning skills
Excellent organizational and management skills
Strong communication (verbal and written), analytical and project management skills
Self motivator with a strong ability to work across the global GMI team, across the Firm, developing partnerships with the LOBs that we support and the functional areas that we leverage
Attention to detail combined with an ability to absorb a large amount of information, articulate recommendations and develop a strategic approach
