Job description
To provide high quality commercial FP&A support for Energy operations in Asia. Contributing to the reporting, budgeting and forecasting process across all Service Lines in a large and culturally diverse Energy geography with revenues in excess of £45m and with the potential to increase as acquired businesses are integrated.

To play a pivotal role in the development and implementation of overall business strategy, working alongside and mentoring the local Energy Asia Business Managers to drive performance and set Business targets and objectives with the Service Line Finance Business Partners (FBP) and Service Line Senior Vice Presidents (SVP).

Provision of high quality timely and accurate analysis and Business information for the area to enable Energy to meet the changing needs of the Business

Develop the relationship with the Energy Business Managers in Asia as a Business Partner, providing first line Finance support, insight and direction.

Managing and mentoring a team of Business Analysts based around Asia and coaching them in providing high quality FP&A support to business partners in their areas.

Providing insight and business intelligence to the service line FBPs and senior Energy Management on the performance and prospects of the Service Lines in the region.

Actively contributing to the shaping, development and execution of the Energy strategy in Asia and be the key financial contact for the Energy Management Team in Asia.

Play a lead role in the delivery of the P&L and balance sheet objectives of Asia providing pro-active challenge to the business stream.

Play a lead role in managing the regional budget and forecasting process and to provide support and best practice advice to business managers for preparations and reviews

Held accountable for accuracy of long term plans, budgets and forecasts

Provide support, consultancy and expertise in specific projects as appropriate including strategic investments.

Production and development and reporting of KPIs for Asia in line with the Group model on reporting

Ad hoc management reporting and analysis in areas such as margin and profitability

Be the key contact with the planned Shared Service Centre (SSC) for Energy Asia and ensuring the performance of the SCC adheres to agreed service levels.

Provide guidance and support in the areas of debtors, invoicing and WIP and highlighting and escalating any issues

Undertaking any other projects or BAU activities as required
Desired Skills and Experience
Degree qualified with a management accounting/commercial accounting background; a recognised professional accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) and significant experience of operating in an international finance function, with medium to large matrix structure

Needs to understand how value is created within the business and how the wider business environment competition, supply chain market forces impacts

Successfully drive change. Proven track record in developing and managing a broad range of resourcing activities on a Regional scale. Experience in a matrix role would be beneficial.

Needs to be confident and be able to identify key stakeholders, build a strategy and positively influence them.

Be regarded as a trusted and credible resource by key stakeholders within both business stream and/or area management teams; able to build strong relationships. Have a ‘hands on’ approach, visible across the businesses with good communication and other interpersonal skills

An enthusiastic and committed team player who can establish and maintain strong relationships with regional finance managers/business leaders and across the Finance community and negotiates
