Job description
Responsibilities:
Requirements Gathering:
Development of user requirement definition and analysis activities. This includes facilitating requirements gathering meeting, writing functional requirement /design documents, documenting details of user needs for developing new feature enhancements and /or new applications
Develop detailed functional specifications that clearly define the business needs, benefits, and deliverables of a project based on use cases from business owners and stakeholders. The incumbent must have a questioning mind to query business owners if he/she believes that certain use case scenarios should have been included in the scope or if there is ambiguity.
User Centered Analysis:
Understanding and utilizing tools, methods, processes, and techniques used to gather requirements
Facilitating and/or participating in requirements gathering sessions
User Centered Design and Usability Evaluation.
Product Development cum Project Administration / Project Lifecycle management:
Ability to determine project, product or service feasibility, cost and time estimates and impacts on current and proposed systems. Ability to ascertain that the cost input to the business case developed by his/her product/service marketing counterpart is accurate
Develop project plans and manage technical resources to meet project deadlines. Designs, plans, and manages work efforts to deliver value-added solutions that meet the needs of stakeholders and according to project schedule
Involved in testing activities, which can include documenting the test plan writing the test cases/scenarios, executing and running the test cases, documenting and submitting problems to development team for correction
Practice Business Analysis documentation standards set by the unit
Develop any necessary training documents to support new/enhanced systems as well as to train frontliners
Upon service or product rollout, maintain product profitability by continuous improvement in processes to achieve better cost structures or better service take-up rate
Responsible for continuous product enhancements where applicable for life-cycle of the product offering
Responsible to lead requirement gathering sessions, interviewing business and technical resources, extracting requirements, documenting and reporting the findings for the products or projects assigned to him/her.
Relationship Management:
Building and maintaining effective relationships with clients, peers, and management within the Business and IT
Desired Skills and Experience
A Masters or Honors degree in the area of Computer Science, Telecommunications engineering
Candidates with a background in Engineering Planning/Project Management in Telecoms Space or in a Solution Sales or Software Development background will have an advantage
Proven track record of successfully meeting project datelines, and personal achievements in delivering outcomes
Analytical skills to gather & interpret business requirements and provide documentation at a level easily understandable to those not having a deep online internet/ mobile background
Knowledge and interest in mobile networks as well as a broad spectrum of internet and software technologies
Knowledge of the software development life-cycle, working exposure in an application development environment
Experience in product development of multimedia products/services is preferred.
