Enterprise Risk Senior Manager - Protiviti - Singapore


Job description

Senior Managers are responsible for the lead role in maintaining primary contact with significant clients and for maintaining client satisfaction on all client work. In addition they are responsible for developing existing engagement opportunities, playing significant roles in developing new clients, and establishing relationships within the business community. Senior Managers maintain overall responsibility for the profitability of all client related work within their portfolio as well as managing the profitability of these portfolios.

Builds trusted relationships with certain C-level executives
Provides superior service that is used as a reference for obtaining additional work
Successfully manages the profitability of client engagements
Takes the lead role in maintaining primary contact with significant clients
Champions and leads product solutions
Serves as content expert for development of training and Protiviti standards
Demonstrates technical competence in product group and industry
Participates in knowledge sharing communications, such as writing articles and newsletters
Designs and develops standard templates, methodologies and tools for use on future projects/ engagements.
Demonstrates ability to adapt to technical advances
Sets a climate for high performance and portrays a clear sense of vision and direction
Promotes Protiviti's mission, vision and values
Encourages collaboration across work groups to ensure effective execution
Builds leaderships skills in others. Maintains and enhances the strategic alignment of Protiviti (e.g., Products, Industry, Geography, Clients, etc.)
Counsels team members regarding performance and career
Regularly converts client business problems into additional sales opportunities
Uncovers new opportunities with current and non-current clients and closes on opportunities through leadership, proposal writing and client interactions
Actively networks within the marketplace
Executes a strategy to acquire new clients in own area of specialization
Demonstrate consistency in values, principles and work ethics



Requirements:



Bachelors Degree or equivalent (preferably Business, Risk Management, Science, Engineering or Mathematics)
Minimum of 8 years of experience in ERM with leading professional services firms or large multinational organizations and systems.
Prior management and direct supervisory experience in a team environment
Self-starter and can operate independently as needed
A high threshold for ambiguity and lack of structure and process during early phases of engagements
Creative and logical problem-solving abilities
Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and team building skills
Advanced listening skills and written and verbal communications
Ability to multi-task and maintain professional demeanor under pressure
Strong project management and client relationship skills
Proven business development proficiency
Organization and time management expertise
Mentoring and people development capabilities
Solid ethical behavior



Technical Knowledge and Skills

Project management, design or execution of risk and control "convergence" or governance risk control (GRC) initiatives
Strong knowledge of board and senior management governance, experience with board and risk committee functions (charters, operations, minutes, reporting)
Enterprise risk management corporate or business specific knowledge (experience with framework components - governance, risk assessment, internal/external loss collection, key risk indicators, scenario analysis)
Enterprise risk reporting and analysis experience (limits, exceptions/escalation experience, etc. a plus especially with respect to the design and implementation of these reports and frameworks)
Enterprise risk systems design, business requirements, implementation, end user testing
Financial risk management framework experience will be an advantage.



Applicants for the above positions should have / be:

Successful records of delivering ERM projects.
Having working knowledge of risk appetite, tolerance,thresholds and limits concepts and application
Having working knowledge of risk governance principles and organizational structures from the Board to the Risk Owner.
Have an advanced knowledge of risk management and controls concepts, leading industry practices (e.g. ISO 31000, COSO) and the Singapore regulatory environment.
Possess strong project management, analytical and technical skills and ability to develop creative approaches, models and systems that will create value-adding solutions to clients.
Have good business acumen with practical experience in performing financial and operational analysis / evaluations.
Have outstanding presentation and communication skills (oral and written) in English, with the ability to interact confidently with all levels of management.
Willing to travel within the region
