Partner Marketing Director - APJ - VMware - Singapore
Job description
Responsible for developing and managing a consistent operating framework and partner marketing programs across the APJ partner ecosystem, including strategy, program delivery and investment and budget support.
Responsibility for working collaboratively with the APJ Channel Sales and Education organizations to help achieve revenue goals, through development of creative, cutting edge marketing programs that build awareness and pipeline with key distributors, solution providers, system integrators, alliance partners, and other companies in VMware’s partner ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Develop relevant GTM plans for distributors, OEMs and other key Alliance partners in conjunction with the Global partner teams to ensure delivery of consistent partner programs to the APJ regions
* Work with the local partner marketing teams to develop an execution plan of consistent Best Few” integrated programs that are mapped to the competency and capability of select partners across APJ
* Ensure comprehensive and effective use of distributor, regional and alliance MDF marketing funds to achieve marketing lead and pipeline objectives, including operational processing and compliance of the new MDF program and localization of required materials
* Reporting, Measurement and Tracking of the execution of localized partner marketing programs and initiatives in APJ, including:
* Achieve marketing ROI targets from channel
* Ownership of control and tracking of market development funds and overall budget
* Implement programs to ensure recruitment of channel partners against target
* Ownership of all Partner Communications in APJ
Required Background & Skills:
* More than 12 years of experience in partner marketing and/or management roles across Asia Pacific and Japan. Up to 3 years of sales and/or management experience also preferred.
A strong understanding of how the IT partner ecosystem operates through experience in working in an Enterprise Software or Leading IT company in Asia Pacific and Japan.
* Experience marketing education and enablement programs for partners is also preferred
* Ability to build holistic GTM Programs for partners – including the ability to initiate and drive fundamental changes in partner business and marketing strategies
* Skills, confidence and gravitas to engage with, communicate and influence large partner organizations at the executive level and act as a trusted advisor
* Strong presentation skills with an ability to present VMware value proposition to external audiences, including the partner community
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionality in a matrix environment dealing with cultural diversities within the 6 regions across APJ
Ideal Candidate Profile/Desired Background:
* BA Degree or equivalent required, MBA or equivalent preferred
* Solid years IT marketing or sales experience in a partner environment required across multiple countries in Asia Pacific
* Enthusiastic and self-supportive, lead from the front by example
* Good team player, strong influencer with a make it happen attitude
* Ability to present at the board level. Strong problem solving capabilities at a strategic level
* Capable of understanding the company’s strategy and implement it within the partner community
* Keen desire to work in a dynamic, innovative environment
* Able to Travel 30-40%
