Head - Financial Crime Compliance, Wealth Management - Standard Chartered Bank - Singapore

Job description
You will be responsible for providing leadership to fighting financial crime in the Wealth management business. Standard Chartered’s objective is to lead in this space across the industry and develop best practice. This includes the approach to due diligence for clients using Wealth Management products, global product risk assessments, the conduct of monitoring and training.



This role will require you to be directly involved in the selection of clients/types of clients and geographical availability of the products and imposition of controls on a risk based approach.

The role will require you to represent Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) on the relevant Process Governance Committees and take a leading role to address the financial crime risks at the development stage/renewal of products.

Desired Skills and Experience
Our preferred candidate has relevant experience in financial crime risk management, specifically relating to Wealth Management businesses and products. You possess finely tuned business acumen including an ability to assess risk and appropriate levels of return, strong leadership qualities, excellent interpersonal skills and an international mindset.

We gravitate toward those with strong analytical and decision making skills, excellent negotiation and communication skills and with an appetite to learn. You must be self-motivated with the ability to provide practical and effective advice.

Your understanding of best practice risk management techniques and frameworks and understanding of the key features of relevant financial crime laws and regulations relevant products will be well regarded.
