Job description
Responsible for the design and development of integrated circuit products within the context of a small team of designers, technicians, and layout engineers. The candidate will be responsible to perform IC design and hire and lead a team to achieving the best-in-class performance of semiconductor component products. The candidate will work as team lead with a group of 3 to 5 designers creating IC designs, test structures, and performing device characterization.
Detailed performance requirements for the IC design will be created by the engineering design team with appropriate input from technical marketing. The candidate will interface with design management, module design teams, and component engineering to create the detailed specification, report design progress, and to collect, track, and resolve any performance issues. In this position, the candidate and the associated team will design and develop from concept to production RF, analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits for wireless systems and related adjacent markets.

The candidate will provide a leadership role on a product development team to effectively plan and execute RF/analog/microwave IC and printed circuit board circuit designs. This person will face challenging performance parameters in the design of semiconductor and module components. The candidate must have a successful track record in design using simulations within HP ADS, Cadence SpectreRF, MW Office, HSPICE, or PSPICE and a successful track record in IC product design through to production. In addition, the candidate must have the ability to help schedule, manage and execute a project to meet deadlines, and cost targets plus communicate program and technical goals or issues to management and the customer.
Desired Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate should possess a BSEE degree plus 10 years related experience plus demonstrated abilities with design simulatation tools (Cadence and other IC design tools, EM simulator, Matlab); knowledge of product realization process; knowledge of design architecture; and experience with test parameters and test equipment and device or product characterization.
