Juniper is looking for a dynamic individual with a history of success in driving revenue and margin growth while leading a technical training delivery team in Asia Pacific region (APAC). Reporting to the Head of WW Juniper Education Services, the position requires a combination of skills including building internal and external customer relationships, developing geo strategy with market-specific tactics, driving education sales through an indirect team, evolving modality to drive efficiency, and managing delivery against sales as a P&L. The position touches many teams within Juniper and at many levels. To succeed in this role an individual must be able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
The ideal candidate will have a background in running both internal and external education as well as experience in partner programs, certification programs as well as intimate knowledge of the education delivery process. This person will be responsible for growing the business as well as managing individual contributors in the APAC Education Services team. This position requires relationship development and ongoing communications with customers, marketing, sales, courseware development, and the APAC Sales and Customer Service Management team.
Responsibilities:
Managing the Education P and L business in APAC and assisting in defining the strategic growth for the education organization
Managing individual contributors both local and remote
Maintaining and tracking key performance metrics for the region
Setup planning including manpower estimates, schedule, and expenses
Management of contract instructor pool and JNAEP program in the APAC
Scoping and driving new business opportunities
Providing support and direction to Field Sales
Interfacing with local Juniper leadership as well as Education Services global functions on Field education needs
Interact with customers to develop and sell training offerings
Manage reporting and analytics relevant to business goals
Ensure financial accuracy of all revenue generating activities
Some travel is required.
Required skills and experience:
Bachelor’s degree require
10 years’ experience in an education/training role
5 years’ experience in management running an education organization; in particular P and L model in a hi-tech environment
Proven execution on delivery of training Experience in running a training center, and delivering training on the customer/partner site
Strong customer interaction and management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills - must be comfortable interacting with all levels within the organization, including senior management
Management Skills:
Strong leadership & organizational skills
Experience working with senior management and client executives across different disciplines
Sound knowledge of budgeting and financial processes
Ability to manage and deliver programs to diverse audiences
Demonstrated ability in building strong customer relationships
Ability to work in a matrix environment and partner with colleagues at all levels different functional areas
Ability to manage activities across different geographical locations and flexibility to travel when required
