Job Description

Join an exciting team of professionals who build some of the most advanced 3D animation software design tools for the game and film markets!  This is a unique opportunity for a digital content creation expert to join the Softimage team in Singapore as a Product Designer.

As a Product Designer, you will work with a team of Development and QA engineers to create new features for Softimage.  Building on your industry experience, you will gather user requirements from customers and translate those needs into clear and achievable specifications that optimize product usefulness and customer satisfaction.  In this capacity, you will work across all features and workflows of the product.

We are looking for someone who is knowledgeable and passionate about digital content creation, with the ability and desire to tackle problems in multiple domains such as usability, feature enhancement, and data exchange. A good comfort level with using animation tools and the overall process of creating character animation via a professional software package is also required.

The right candidate must possess a clear passion for discovering and solving customer problems, a commitment to excellence, and an ability to see beyond the immediate challenges several years into the future.

Role and Responsibilities

-   Design and validate key features and workflows in Autodesk Softimage.

-   Work with the product management team to analyze customer requirements and propose feature solutions to be  
    developed

-   Engage and maintain relationships with end-users

-   Act as a customer advocate while working with the development team to balance ROI and available project resources to
    obtain an optimal solution.

-   Research and validate requirements through focus groups, customer visits and market research

-   Prototype and validate proposed designs with customers and product development

-   Create and document detailed design specifications that are consumable by multiple in house customers including
    Product Development, Quality Assurance and Technical Publications

-   Ensure consistency of the user interface and application workflows

-   Review, interpret and document defects related to new feature developments

-   Review end user documentation relating to new features

-   Train other internal stakeholders on new workflows and functionality

-   Maintain familiarity with similar industry products and trends

Required Skills and Experience

-    Minimum 5 years working with Softimage, Maya or 3ds Max.

-    Understanding of character creation and animation workflows.

-    Ability to generate clear product ideas and designs

-    Excellent written and oral communication skills and presentation skills

Desired Skills & Experience

-  Experience with game development pipelines.

-  Working knowledge of scripting is an asset.
