SUMMARY
To develop and implement debit product strategies for India, GCC and Africa in an effort to grow the key performance indicators of cards, payments volume, total volume, market share, PCE penetration, international cash volume and net revenue. A primary focus is to engage key clients in the business to develop and implement agreed strategic initiatives of the debit products portfolio. In addition, this role is tasked with leading all product development opportunities for AP and CEMEA to ensure that Visa Debit products have a long pipeline of product development opportunities.
JOB SCOPE
* Develop and execute product strategies for Visa Debit that provide a competitive advantage to Visa and drive revenue growth for the business
* As a senior debit product category expert in the business, make recommendations to the Head, Debit Products to drive the debit products initiatives with key stakeholders across functional teams. The recommendations need to be quantifiable and aligned with the corporate and client’s strategic objectives
* Design compelling, differentiated and relevant product plans that leverage Visa’s system, IP, brand/ marketing programs and commercial assets to provide competitive advantage in India, GCC and Africa markets that are at different stages of debit category development. A prime focus is to drive gross revenue growth for the business against a back drop of market complexity, differing degrees of business opportunities and competitive threats.
* Lead assigned A&P initiatives and the associated budgets to ensure that due process is followed and that initiatives are delivered on time and within agreed budget
* Actively consult with and provide product knowledge expertise to the sales team in India, GCC and Africa
* Develop and then lead assigned key projects and activities to deliver superior debit products and services in India, GCC and Africa
* Utilize industry, consumer purchasing behavior, retail banking trend analysis and customer knowledge to seek out new business opportunities
* Being a debit products advocate, lead cross functional groups to ensure that debit considerations, programs and product pilots/developments are top of mind in India, GCC and Africa
* Lead all aspects of product development for debit products across AP and CEMEA. Ensure that developments are part of a comprehensive pipeline of actions that will position Visa Debit as the best utility debit product in AP and CEMEA.
* Business degree/MBA with approximately 15 years of experience in retail bank/consumer cards marketing businesses
* Experience in managing deposit access, transactional banking services, debit cards business in a financial institution, especially in a multinational role
* Sound knowledge of banking and payment card systems and processes
* Sound knowledge of marketing principles, product management and retail banking business acumen
* Product management experience in payments/ financial services industry
* Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
* Negotiation and business development skills.
* P&L experience and focus on delivering strong financial results for stakeholders
